i can't believe the pistons season is over! as soon as the final buzzer sound, i started crying. they let their hard work on being the top team in nba go to waste. my mom is watching the awards ceremony and i am crying and i wanna yell at her to turn it off but she's in a bad mood so upsetting her would be like upsetting a hibernating bear.
if we got rid of rasheed and got lebron james, we'd be AWESOME!!!!! and no, we don't need kevin garnett!(MuNkY) getting tid of rasheed would be sad but it would probally be best! :guilty: oh well........my next choice is phoenix. GOODLUCK!! :cheer2:

Repeat after me.

There is no way, we are ever getting LeBron James.

Garnett is the more realistic option. I stand by my belief that if we traded Rasheed and McDyess for Garnett, that would make us a lot better to begin with. It would get rid of a bazillion technicals, and bring in one of few unstoppable players in the NBA. Not only that but it would be good for Pistons marketing. One problem they've always had is that they don't have a "superstar" on their team.

Garnett would fit perfectly in this gameplan. He isn't selfish, yet at the same time he can take a game into his own hands, and do a good job doing it too. Chauncy and Rip can do that, but they can't seem to do it all the time. I also feel that re-uniting him with Flip Saunders would do good.

We need to focus also on shot selection. There were a lot of times I saw that the Pistons were down, and should have just started driving into the basket, or posting up. Let Ben throw around his massive body and score in the paint. But instead of doing that, they started throwing up threes. That, is not the way you win basketball games when your down.

I think Flip could use a better coaching staff around him. Hire better shooting coaches. But most importantly, defensive coaches. I also think that Joe Dumars should sit down and have a talk with Flip. Get the focus back onto defense. Sure putting up 100 is nice, but keeping teams from scoring 80 is nicer.

Meh, good season. Okay postseason. We have a few things to work on, a few changes to make, but we should be fine.

yes, i know theres no way of getting james cuz he has a contract til 2012. i guess garentt would be the best option.......i seriously think we need to get rid of sheed. but wutever!!!!!let their manager do all the trading and other stuff like that.

oh and they dont need a "superstar" on the team......thats not wut the pistons are about.......they're about being a "team"!!!!!!

And I said Garnett would fit into that team thing perfectly. :confused3

But also at the same time he is a "superstar", so he would help in a marketing sence as well. I mean, look at when the Pistons went from being on only local television when they faced the Bucks, to ABC when they faced the Cavs.

Personly i would have loved to see them pull out a win but to be honest they just didnt earn it, Miami played much harder and a lot better, Pistons playedsloppy the whole series. As far as Sheed, i think he is an excellent player but his attitude gets the pistons in trouble, i would not like Garnett on the Pistons since the pistons are not that type of team. they dont center on one guy and i think thats what it would become with Garnett.

exactly!!!!! :goodvibes i ttly agree!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

I wanted the Pistons to win as well....they are by far my fave. team....but They just didn't work hard enough! Miami did earn that spot...as much as it kills me to say it they did...they played hard and came out on top. I don't think any of the boys played to their best potential. I personally hope that they don't trade anyone. I read in the paper this morning they are thinking about getting rid of Ben. If anyone it should be Sheed, but I hope they don't trade anyone. I hope they have better luck next year!

the bottom line is Ben deep down doesnt want to be in Detroit anymore and with the amount of money he will be asking for it is likly the pistons will let him go..not just him but its being rumered that sheed will be traded and the pistons will indeed aquire garnett in the off season..this would most likely put garnett at center and then Mcdyse at powerforward, im not entirely sure if i like it but garnett is a much better scorer then Ben. still i like the pistons right now, just not Flip Saunders!

How do you not like FLip??? He is so cool, and despite what some people may think he didn't lose the game...the players lost it!
Taylor*

the players lost it b/c of lack of leadership from Flip not that it was the only thing but it was certainly a part

I think Flip is a good coach! I mean he's part of the reason the pistons were the #1 seed in the NBA this year! So you have to give him some credit.

Okay, on the topic of Ben Wallace. He's the best defensive player in the NBA. WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU WANT TO GET RID OF HIM? I think Flip needs to make a change, and get Ben back on the defensive track. He does the team more good when he's getting 20 rebounds, 3 steals, and 5 blocks a game. Not when he's scoring 20 points.

As for Flip, he's one of the best coaches in the league. Once again, WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO GET RID OF HIM? I don't want to hear all this..."oooo he lost it for us". Oh bullcrap he lost it. Not to mention he only brought us to the best record in franchise history, and the eastern confrence finals. Oh yeah, he's terrible. Get rid of him!

I don't like the idea of putting Garnett at center, and McDyess at PF. McDyess is good, but I dunno if he's starter good. I also don't like the idea of taking Garnett out of the position he won an MVP with.

I still stand with my original idea. Trade Sheed and McDyess for Garnett. Pick up Corless Williamson or Jerry Stackhouse, and give Ben Wallace a 3 year deal instead of a 5. I also think Joe needs to talk to a few of the people in the Pistons organization. People like Flip, and the players, who I believe need to get yelled at by upper management. Tell them to get their stuff together, and back to that 2004 form.

I dunno. I'm sitting back and enjoying the Tigers and NASCAR now.

I agree with the MuNkY kid. But I still don't like the Kevin Garnett idea. :confused3

I agree with MuNkY...Except for the garnett, stackhouse trade....Flip was a GREAT coach and he didn't lose the game...the players did....and Ben needs to stay on this team...he's going to be a way better player than Shaq...and they aren't going to want to play against him!

I really doubt that. Shaq is one of the best players of all time. He was unstoppable in Orlando, unstoppable in L.A., but he's starting to slow down in Miami.

Ben, when all is said and done, isn't going to be at that caliber.
