In three years DH and I are renewing our wedding vows!! I just said to him one night right in the middle of him playing a video game, "Guess what I want to do on our 15th wedding anniversary?" He says, "What?" I answer, "Renew our vows." He says, "Sure! Sounds Great!" (And by the way....yes he really was listening. I waited for him to turn and look at me.)
I was like YIPPEE!! I never got to have the wedding every girl wants so now I get to do that 15 years later. My mom, dad, and one of my sisters are deceased now, but they can watch from above as DH and I have decided to marry on the beach!
Charles and I have adopted a church couple as mom and dad and I've asked him to marry us and give me away. It's possible!
Mom (the one from church) sews and I'm thinking of asking her to do my dress, but that's on the backburner until the end of 2005 early 2006 considering how my weight fluctuates so. It's going down now since I'm Atkins, but I can still wait.
Here's the rest of the good news. DH and I may make it back to Disney that year to celebrate our actual anniversary. That year the 22nd falls on a Monday, but I want to renew our vows on a Saturday or Sunday, so then that way, we can spend our anniversary at Disney. We will more than likely renew our vows on that Saturday so we can travel to Disney on Sunday to be there on Monday to celebrate our 15th in style. I'm still wanting to stay at the Allstars though, I really enjoy that hotel and since DH and I only use the hotel to sleep and shower, why spend the extra money??
I'm so excited I can't stand it! In my other thread I was complaining about not making it to Disney, but in 3 years it looks to be a definite yes! By that time it will have been 5 years since DH and I visited, but I'm sure in that time, something will have changed! I'll keep everyone posted. I know it's a long way off, but it's the planning that's all the fun! A wedding AND a trip to Disney.....OH SOMEBODY STOP ME!!
