I cannot stop..is this normal?

Normal, Normal, Normal. Even if you don't post, if you are like some of us you will spend much time reading on these boards because you cannot go to WDW so this is how you will get your Disney fix - vicariously living through the vacations of others. Most years we go camping in the mountains, really roughing it in the backcountry - this year we don't even get to do that, so I will really be living the vida loca through all the posts here. Thanks to everyone who posts so that I and probably many others can do that. :worship:

This is me. I have no plans to go. Won't probably go for a very long, long time.

This is the norm, reading, checking, everyday.:surfweb: Even if you don't have a trip planned. Cause just when you think you know everything someone here knows something you don't know. And now you have to go back to the world!:thumbsup2

Whew....what a relief to know I'm not alone! I first looked at these boards last year when planning our trip to DL, but I never posted. For our first trip to WDW in June :yay: I couldn't help myself....I had to post a PTR, ask a million questions, and read everything I can from these great DISers on here!

And yes one of these days I should do some laundry, go to the grocery store, etc....but right after one more look on the DIS :) ;)

Manda Bean, I am the same way! Started checking the boards a couple of weeks ago when looking up info for my upcoming trip in December and haven't gone a day without visiting! I'm constantly checking at work (and somehow manage to get my work done too!) and then again when i get home; I've learned a lot. It's so nice to see that there are so many others who feel the same way I do about all things Disney! :earsboy:

Your new addiction will not end after you return from your trip.:confused3 It only gets worse to go back from here. You are now like the rest of us (ADDICTED):cool1: They put something in the water there that makes you really really want to return and you will not be happy until you are planning your next trip before you actually take the one you already have scheduled.:thumbsup2

Hello, my name is DoleWhipMom and I'm addicted to Disney.

That's what I love about this board, other  just like me!

We are going to WL for the first time end of August (been to Poly once and POR 3xs) and I've looked at so many pictures and maps, I think I have everything memorized. I have also become addicted to the food porn threads... I think I know what I will order for every meal during free dining but I'll have to keep checking just to make sure...

I have to come here and commune with others for the sake of my family. I made Mickey Mouse pancakes yesterday and was singing Disney tunes. Goodness knows what else I'd do if I didn't have this as on outlet.

I am also a newly addicted lurker. I've loved Disney World every since I was 5 years old. Now that I have kids, I'm hooked all over again....Or maybe it's because I'm still a kid. :confused3

Phewwwwwwwwwwwww I am so glad to see I am not the only one that is addicted to everything Disney. We are leaving on the 1st December for our first trip,I think hubby thinks I am nuts at how often I am looking through this site and making lists, lists and more lists. It has me worried about how I will be when I come home,I can almost see myself now planning a trip ASAP as soon as we get home.

First off welcome to the boards!

I have been on here for a few years now and im ALWAYS on here!! Out of a 24 hr day, Im on the boards for about 15 hrs a day! And no thats no lie! I get on about 11am and dont get off until 12am or after. Sometimes Im even on here at 3am! Now granted im not contantly on, but I do check posts atleast once an hr and from 11am - 1pm, Im usually on here non-stop! And after DH and I get back from disney in August, yeap you guessed it - I'll be BACK on here again! :lmao: NEVER to early to start planning for your next trip! ;) We have plans to return back to Disney in 2010, but Im hoping I can convince DH to go back next year for december :wizard: Hmmmmmm since most likely DH will deploy again next yr, that just might be my way to get him to agree! 4 months away from home and away from me, the least he could do is agree on a disney trip! ;) :rotfl:

Hey thats my house all over! Litereally! My kitchen is in a disaster. My whole house looks like a tornado has gone through it. Bathrooms havent been cleaned in awhile :scared: I cant even remember the last time I did laundry but yet still manage to find clean clothes :lmao: Dust is piling up on our furniture! Yeah I really need to clean my house badddddddddd, but just cant seem to stay away from here! :rolleyes1 :hyper:
yes, you will soon become addicted like some of us... :flower3:

Pretty soon the laundry will start piling up, cobwebs forming in corners, dishes overflowing in the sink.... but hey... you will have ALOT of helpful Disney information:rotfl2:

You will! And the moment you get back home from trip 2 you will wanna start planning for trip 3 and so on! :lmao:

I am planning our first trip in June. For DH and I it has been over 20 years and neither of our boys have been there so it is our first trip I say. I come here just about every day too. All I can think of as the trip draws closer is what do I do with my time and what do I talk about when the trip is over??? There is SOOO much to learn about Disney and if I never came here, I wouldn't have known. I am pretty sure that unless we win the lottery, we won't be going back to Disney for a few years. That is depressing but it means after the planning of this vacation, there will be no more planning for a while, especially if gas prices keep going up. We live in PA and are driving down. I am hoping it won't be over 4.00 a gallon but then but I am not holding my breath. I am not sure if I will keep coming back here or not, it will be depressing I think but maybe not. 19 days till we leave and 21 days till we get there! Yay! I am sure our trip will have been made so much nicer due to coming here and learning so much from you all. Thanks!

I agree. As you can see from my post count, I'm new to this board too, and now check it every day. We just joined the vacation club, so found this board while trying to gather information to make our decision. Now I'm afraid I'm stuck! :scared:

It sounds that you're like me, in that you like to be informed and have a "plan of attack" when you hit Disney. I spoke to a friend a while ago who was soon heading to WDW and didn't want to plan anything ahead of time. To each his own, I guess, but that line of thinking is completely foreign to me.

Hi Welcome to the DIS boards. Yes. I have been on this board everyday since planning our trip!:goodvibes Then once you get a trip tracker (like below) then you will want to post just to see your days go down. Like I am doing now!:rotfl:

You wont be paying less then $4 a gallon, I can tell you that now. Gas prices are raising everyday every where. Why didnt you just buy plane tickets? If DH and I drove, it would have costed us $600 and that is if gas prices were at $4 a gallon and not a penny more. And that $600 also doesnt include tolls. Instead we are flying with airtran. Got $54 tickets from BWI to Orlando and $79 tickets from Orlando to BWI. After paying for taxes, fees, and for the seat assignments - $328 for 2 adults! I dont know where you are from, but chances are you can probably get good prices to fly to Orlando with AirTran. Unless you plan to go off property, you get free transportation to everywhere. From the airport to the resort and back and around all the parks. So no need to really drive anywhere.
