I Can See Epcot From Here! ~ A November Trip and Dining Report ~

:rotfl2:
I think you actually waited until the next morning to text and say that you'd gone to the campfire sing along and that the boys had been in a show on the BW. So yeah, I guess I knew about it already.:rotfl:
It is always nice to see pics of the moment though!

Belle is requesting Pizza Planet for our DHS lunch. At least she will eat pizza this trip!!!
I might have to try to work in the BW. You know I always have such grand plans of doing it and never get there.

Oh yeah, I remember telling you about it when I was at Epcot waiting for the boys to ride Mission Space!

Pizza Planet. I'm glad the kids have kind of forgotten about that place. It's okay, it's just not great. Nothing like the BW pizza, that's for sure!

You have got to get your behind over to the BW!! ::yes::

What are the odds that he was lookign for a 9 year old and your DS just happened to be walking by! ;) What great luck!

Tonga Toast- I could have done without the recipe so I could stay oblivious to how unhealthy it is for me. I might need to break out my old maternity swimsuit if I learned how to make that at home!

Sorry :guilty:

It seems okay-ish, up until the QUART of oil you have to cook it in. I wonder if you could achieve similar results, but cooking it more like french toast or pancakes. Maybe just enough oil/cooking spray to lightly coat the bottom of the frying pan, then cook on both sides. It wouldn't have that "deep-fried" taste, but maybe good enough to avoid some of the guilt??

On a different topic, I've been debating about starting a little pre-trip report. It's just me on a solo trip, but would I get some readers?? :confused3 I'd need some advice on catchy titles (hint, hint JoBird ;)) and fun little hidden things to do while in the World...

one of the best trs ive read and im only on day 2 !!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much! :goodvibes And welcome! I'm glad you are enjoying. There's a post on the first page with links to all the updates if you want to skip through all the other chatter! :rotfl:

I was thinking the same thing about the oil in a frying pan. I just can't imagine putting it in a deep fryer.

Yes, you should definitely start a PTR! It's fun! :cool1: Coming up with a title is the only bad part. :faint:

I wonder if you could bake it....

I could possibly try that one Saturday morning when I'm feeling skinny.:rotfl2:

um that might be never.:lmao:

That's a thought. . . But I wonder if the banana would get mushy. :sad2:

Let me know when you feel skinny and try it! :rotfl:

Hello Thread!

Great night shots Shelly of BWI! It looks really nice there during the evening, especially on the boat. Gotta do that sometime!

The pizza also really looks good also - we had pizza delivered to our room at PORFQ one day and it was good too. Definitely an upgrade than what you can get at MK for sure.

My sons are at EPCOT today with my dad and his fiance'. They made him try the Beverly at Club Cool and he almost spit it out! :rotfl2: Lunch was at Rose and Crown - they are now at Canada's Circle-Vision show. :cool1: Crowds are light, no waiting for any attraction. But lots of Brazilians taking flash pictures on the Spaceship Earth ride :rotfl2:! They are having a great time .:cool1:

Hey there

You will be able to see the BW at night any time you want when we are staying next door to it this summer! :thumbsup2

Glad your boys are having fun at Epcot today! Are they freezing? Looks like it might be chilly down there today. Oh those darn Brazilians! They don't seem to like to follow the rules at WDW!

The Beverly! :scared: :lmao:

I love the Boardwalk at night! It used to be a tradition for us to go to the Boardwalk on our arrival night, but we haven't done that since our last trip with my parents in 2006. I think we saw that "sword of death" guy before. He was pretty funny! They have some great entertainers over there. We always had to stop for ice cream too....so delicious!

Yes, it is very cold over there today. I just posted a couple of cellphone pics on the Mayer thread. Yea, those Brazilians are frustrating! :headache:

Great campfire night! It does seem like that you would sing more than 2 songs though!
I love the picture of yours & DS's feet, cute!:cutie:
That is too cool that your sons were able to be part of the show at BW!

A very pleasant and relaxing resort night, those are the best I think. I had to laugh when reading about the clueless CM at the BW, I think disney needs to issue small handbooks with key info in them so at least the CM's would not come off looking so ill informed about things.

I loved the water launch when we stayed at YC and now since I changed our Sept/Oct reservation I have that to look forward to again.

Now that we changed resorts I have to rethink our Breakfast plans since those were what I mainly had at the monorail resorts and DH usually does not care to travel for breakfast.

Might have to check out that Bakery and Pizza place at BW they both looked yummy

The boardwalk was a lot of fun for the boys, mine were older by time they finally built BW and we visited it

The BW is so fun! :goodvibes And Seashore Sweets has great ice cream cones! ::yes::

I hope it warms up for them. And the Brazilians thin out!

I thought so too. :confused3 I thought a sing-along was, well a sing-along!

Thanks! I wouldn't usually post a pic of my feet :rotfl:, but I thought it was a cute picture with DS's feet in the sand. Plus I had just had a pedi before vacation!

The kids had a blast being in the show!

I agree - resort nights are the best. :cloud9: And I agree about the CM's needing a handbook! :rotfl:

I can't believe you changed your ressie - again!!! :lmao: I think you will be very happy at the BC since you are planning to go to the F&WF.

You should definitely walk/boat over to the BW and take advantage of all it has to offer!

Oh I plan on visiting the BW :cool1:I already checked out a map and seen there the walkway to the BW runs right down from the Villas

You know the best part of changeing our ressie today besides saving $, now I don't have to keep hopeing for that 40% off pin everyone has been getting, since the villa's are 40% off. I thought for sure DH would pick the BW when I told him it was up to him to choose.

Had a funny experience this afternoon and the first thing that popped in my head was your TR. :rolleyes1
I went to sit down on the floor with the kids and my most favorite pair of worn out jeans split on me! They were about 8 years old but so worn in and comfy that I felt like I was wearing sweats when I wore them. First thing I said to myself when it happened "I guess that's a sign that I shouldn't try making the Tonga Toast at home." :lmao:

I have to tell you that I am so glad I found your trip report. Around the time of our last trip (which was our first family trip) I read your TR about CBR, that's were were going in May now.

On that May trip we are planning on spending an afternoon/evening on the Boardwalk for an ADR and it’s so fun to hear of some of the activities they have out there. After seeing your pictures of the resort I’m ready to book an additional trip to stay there.

Oh... and to the previous poster - sorry about the pants!
