I have some WDW tickets where I know I have some remaining balance for theme parks and water visits. Even though the DIS website notes a phone number where a ticket agent will provide you your balance - - after several callas in, each rep says the ONLY way to check your ticket balance is to go to one of the parks or downtown Disney.

Given I live in Illinois that is not too easy. Does anyone know another way to check the balance of your tickets?????

F. How can I Check on What Remains on Old Tickets?

Any Ticket Window or Guest Services Location can read your old tickets and tell what the remaining entitlements are. Also, if the ticket has become demagnetized they can issue replacements. The Resort Lobby Concierges may not be able to read all tickets.

See Post #13 in this thread for how to determine the serial number of the ticket(s)

There is a special phone number, 407-566-4985 which you can all. Press "Option 2" when prompted. The CM on duty will be able to assist you. This line is only available weekdays during normal business hours.

From Cheshire Figment's excellent sticky on all things ticket related.

Last year I brought some old tickets with me and asked the person at the desk at ASMu to check them for me, and they did with no problem (I didn't have any days left). But if you want to know before you go, I'm not really sure what to do...

There is a way to do it, I just can't remember. PM ROBO, he knows everything.

The phone number each of you share (407-566-4985) does not offer this service. The only way they allow you to check your balance on the phone with them is if you are a Florida resident (since Fla. resident tickets are tied to their name to prove their residence). Other than that you have to go to a Disney park or downtown Disney area.

I just called this number also and they told me the same thing. The only way to check the balance is while there. Which I though I had done prior to leaving last year but I can find the sheet that I wrote it down on
If there is another way I would love to know. We have tickets with our package this year and I was hoping not to have to carry these with me,for fear of losing them.
Thanks!

In the ticket section of the wdwinfo.com section of this website lists a phone number... (sorry on phone posting can't get it right now) you get a computer and enter in a few things then you wait for about 10 minutes and a CM comes online, you provide the number and they will tell you what is left.

I just this this on Friday of last week so I know it works!

On this site the only reference to checking ticket balance is noted below and from the countless times I have called and discussed this with many reps, they claim only a visit to Fla will get you your balance - and most have not heard of this service via the phone as you described.

Is this a conspiracy on their part to get us to fly to Florida - are they uninformed - are you sure you called the number below? So many questions....

Can you post exactly what you say you accomploshed via the phone as you seem to be the only person aware of such a service.

Checking Days Left on Used Ticket

If you have left over park tickets from previous visits and can't remember how many days you have left on them, you can have your ticket checked while at Disney World or you can call Disney to check their status:

407-566-4985 - Option #2
NOTE: This service is only available Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 4:30pm.

With hopes from the PP I called again this morning thinking for sure I will be able to check the balance of my tickets. I tell the CM that I would like to check the balance of my tickets. She proceeds to tell me that they dont do that anymore over the phone. I mention to her that " my friend " just did it last week. She tells me that they stopped doing this a few weeks ago.
I certainly dont understand why they cant do it if we can provide the ticket number/serial number, but whatever. She also mentioned that the preferred way of checking the balance is to actually scan the ticket. I guess too many discrepancies keying it in maybe. This was my second call in 2 days and so far no one has done it. I emailed Disney and am waiting to see if they reply.
I got the email while waiting on hold. wdw.ticket.inquiries@disneyworld.com
maybe someone will do it with the email. I'll let you know when and if I receive a reply :) I have tickets with this years package and I dont want to have to carry my old tickets with me if I dont have

Until last year, they would never do this over the phone. Then they started doing it. I'm guessing they've decided it's too much hassle (maybe with the staff cutbacks) and now they're not going to do it anymore based on the multiple posts above. You can always try and you might get lucky and get that one CM that hasn't seen the memo yet, which is most likely what happened to bmorr1963 last Friday.

Bummer, though.
