I Can Haz A Dizney Christmas? 12/15: Last Update Before the Trip

Great Calendar!!! Today is our 99 Days to Go - Day! WOOHOO :cool1:

 I'm sure it's less than 99 days now, but still,

I have had all of my supplies to make my countdown for a few weeks and still have not gotten around to do it yet! LOL Guess I better get it in gear!

Hope you've done it by now! It'll be here before we know it!

Nice countdown! I love those mickey heads..I should get some from home depot some time! I can't wait for december hours..they should be coming out tomorrow:woohoo:!!

I actually used a Mickey head punch for those. Even though I do have a great collection of LGMH at home.

What a cool way to countdown! And seriously, 75 dollars for a backpack? :scared:

Yeah, $75. It stayed there. :rotfl2:

BUMP - where'd ya go? :confused3

Sorry--I'm coaching cheerleading and have had a lot of work! But an update is coming up!

Busy is good - makes the time between now and Disney go by much faster!!!

First things first. . . Usually I get a new Mickey Mouse t-shirt or the like for my Disney trips. Well, not this time. Dh got me a great t-shirt that you all will see me wearing in Disney world. Wanna see it?

On we go to the ADRs.

Now, Tour Guide Mike has been a little late this time around with his best/worst parks. I was patient and spent a great amount of time over at the TGM boards speculating the best/worst days. Turns out, the LCPs were published today and thank heavens I was okay with my decisions. I have some good plans and a couple of "okay" ones, but nothing blaring that I should be overly concerned about.

So, as of now, these are my plans. . .

Wed, Dec 16--no park--arrival about midnight

Thur, Dec 17--Hollywood Studios
full day
Lunch--50s Prime Time Cafe (oop)

Friday, Dec 18--Magic Kingdom and MVMCP
3/4 day
Breakfast--Ohana
Dinner--Crystal Palace

Saturday, Dec 19--EPCOT 1/2 day
Lunch--Captain's Grill (oop)
Dinner--Tutto Italia (and no--I decided against the Candlelight Processional Package. I'm not gonna sweat it--I'll get a good spot right after dinner for Illuminations and see enough! ;)

Sunday, Dec 20--Animal Kingdom full day
Dinner--Chef Mickey's

Monday, Dec 21--EPCOT 3/4 day
Dinner--Le Cellier :banana::banana::banana: (oop)

Tuesday, Dec 22--Magic Kingdom
full day
Lunch--CRT (obviously, no Citricos, but I want to have this experience with my family just once)
Dinner--LTT

Wednesday, Dec 23--Magic Kingdom
1/2 day
Breakfast--Crystal Palace (oop)
Dinner--1900 Park Fare

Thursday, Dec 24--Epcot 1/2 day
Lunch--Grand Floridian Cafe (oop)

We have 4 oop meals, which is fine, because even after I did the math, we still come out $400-$500 better than upgrading to the Deluxe Dining package. We wanted more meals, but not a whole bunch of signature meals. DD10 will definitely be ordering off the children's menu at Le Cellier, 50s Prime Time Cafe, and the Grand Floridian Cafe, and the cost of breakfast is not as much as dinner at CP.

My plans are to do a Dining Review this time around--I even bought a little notebook to take notes about the meals when I go to the room at night!

So, that's where we are now!

We're down to 79!!! It all look so delicious... I mean good! No - I mean delicious. I too would love to do CRT, next time!

Sounds great!!! We're eating at similar locations as well. I can't wait to see what your opinion was of them!!!

Your ADRs look great!! We are eating at several of the same placed on different days. :)

CRT is something I've always felt I needed to do. This time, we're just throwing caution to the wind, lol.

It'll be our 4th trip to WDW, but our first CRT meal.

your ADRs sound great! I'm excited to try Liberty Tree Tavern I haven't eaten there in years!

LTT is one of those gems that people overlook now that the characters are gone. I actually prefer it without the characters. The meal never disappoints--turkey and dressing--yummo!

I plan to do a dining review this go-around. I planned in June, but three kids without DH to help (he really is an awesome dad--very helpful) took all of my time away.

Yay! We can compare notes!

So, this is the first of many, many changes that we will have. I am excited about the changes--we have less meals at TS, but because we added the Candlelight Processional, we are still about OOP wise equal.

Don't worry, we are paying the CRT and CP meals with the dining plan, lol.

Here is my snapshot itinerary. . .I printed it in grayscale, but you could still kind of tell the colors for Tour Guide Mike, so I did a little editing to fix that. ;)

I made it on excel from I sample I saw over at Tour Guide Mike's. I added and changed around a bunch. I love the schedule, as I laminate it, and refer to it when I need my list of what's what.

Hi! I followed you from my PTR. LOL!

Your schedule looks great, as do your ADR's!

It will be interesting to me, also planning a FD trip, to see if we upgrade to deluxe. It seems like a LOT of food but....I dunno! I have more on my list than credits to be sure.

Looking forward to following your journey.

In October 2008, we did the Deluxe Plan. It worked well, but we left credits behind. In the end, I did the math to see what was the most bang for my buck. This plan won out, but I will miss the appetizers. My waistline won't but I will. :rotfl2:

Great plans! Good job with your ADR's! We are all moving right along! After today, I'm under 70 days!!!!! That means less than 10 weeks! My weeks will be in the single digits!

Certainly, it all sounds cliche, but that is my feeling about returning to Port Orleans-Riverside. It's like I've been away for a long time, and now that I'm closer, I am so homesick. Homesick for the banjo music playing. Homesick for the sound of the Sassagoula River. Homesick for the smell of Disney.

And yes, there is a smell that only Disney World has. I first catch whiff of it when we stop at our typical exit in Daytona for gas and bathroom breaks. It is the smell of home.

And it's no wonder. I don't have to worry about cooking or cleaning or work! All I have to do is relax and live with the pleasure of being totally cut off from the rest of the world. Yes, it's no wonder I'm homesick. . .I am so ready to hear my favorite phrase of all time. . ."Welcome Home."

I've never been to CBR, but I am feeling the home sickness too! I just want to get in that Customs House and hear someone tell ME "welcome home!"

And yes, there definitely is a "Disney smell!"

I know exactly what you mean! My friend and her family left this morning for a week at Disney. I've been so sad today, because I am ready to go. I am ready for December!
