I Can Haz A Dizney Christmas? 12/15: Last Update Before the Trip

Great PTR so far! We are going a bit earlier in December, but are roaring and ready to go! Sorry about the "ruined" surprise, but yay for help from the kiddos!

Can't wait to see what's up next! :)

It's always nice when you get to receive Mouse Mail!!!!:banana::banana:

Love the new title!
and
WooHoo for Mickey Mail!!

It's a catchy one, is it not? :rotfl2:

I knew I couldn't keep a secret that big for 4 months, anyway. Don't know what I was trying for. . .

And I must warn everyone--we are not doing best park days this time around. We have decided we want to have a lie-in and stay up late, after all, that is what vacation is all about.

Our vacation is on the same days and we're a family of 5 staying in AB of POR. I'm also a teacher, but I do live in SC. I'm glad I found you PTR. I'm soooo excited about Free Dining too. We had originally booked our free dining vacation for Labor Day weekend, but I was having some trouble taking time off from school. Tinker Bell definitely sent us some pixie dust so that we could go to WDW for Christmas with free dining! My secret from the kids is still safe . :yay:

Mmmm.... now I'm hungry! What's for dinner :confused3 LOL

:rotfl2: Certainly not turkey and potatoes and yummy apple pie!

So, where are you in SC? We're excited about Christmas in Disney. I originally had plans for late September--couldn't get the days b/c the nurse in my class had a conference. We're supposed to be in school on Dec 18, but *cough*cough* I won't be feeling well that day. It's a half day, anyway.

We'll have to try to get together a little DIS meet.

We're in Moncks Corner, just outside Charleston. I'll be feeling sick around the 18th too. Where are you?

Cool! I was born in Charleston!

We live just up I-95 near South of the Border on the North Carolina side of the border. DH teaches in Dillon County and I teach in Marion County.

Me, too. Did you see that my school was on lockdown yesterday because a kid brought a gun on campus? Do you get SCNOW/Channel 13 news? If not, here are the specifics: http://www2.scnow.com/scp/news/local/pee_dee/article/mullins_high_school_on_lockdown/70596/

Scary day. . .

We won't be on site on the 24th, I think we will stay off site by then in Jacksonville. We originally thought we would, but it's too much!

Welcome, and I'll check out your PTR.

Many of you have seen the changes to the Candelight Processional Dining Package. I have to thank my good ole buddy raider97 for pointing it out on her PTR, because with school starting this week, I have been out of touch with the DIS.

My first reaction to the: 2 TS credits, fixed menu, idea was no.

And then I remembered something.

I have never seen Illuminations.

Never.

Ever.

Plus, dh will know by then that he is a National Board Certified Teacher.

So, we'll pay one more meal out of pocket.

And do the dining package.

And hopefully, everyone else will wig out on it because of the changes and we'll get reservations at his favorite--Le Cellier.

You are welcome. Glad I could be of help especially since I know all of the teachers on here are probably swamped at this time of the year. When do you start? The kids start back here on Monday.

Sounds like it would make a nice celebration night for you guys and it will work out well since you haven't seen Illuminations.

And I'll ask how come you have never seen it? :)

Stephanie

random question, I thought the free dining promo ended on Dec 17? Have they extended it?? If so, that might be something for me to look into!!!!

thanks :)

If your trip starts on December 17, then your entire trip is under the free dining promotion. So, feasibly, if you did 10 nights, your trip would go through Christmas under the free dining promo. Hope this helps!

First of all, thanks for the email yesterday! I appreciate it.

Secondly, we started school on Monday and it all culminated with a lockdown on Thursday because a person from a neighboring district brought a gun on campus. Long week, but it's over! I am still excited over the first week, though, and I am excited about the coming weeks!

As far as Illuminations:
Feb 2007--the wind was real high and though we thought the rope would be dropped for us to watch from the bridge between Gr. Britain and France, it was not. The kids were allowed to go up front, but I was in the back with my youngest. Who was asleep. I heard it, just did not see it.
Oct 2008--We were going to watch it after dinner at Coral Reef, but unfortunately dinner ran through Illuminations.
June 2009--The long and short of it was we were all tired out.

I AM going to see Illuminations this year.
