I can get my maintenance meds at CVS now. Unbelievable!

Do you still do the 2 month copay at the CVS stores? That would be great for me. I always worry about the mail order because I'm afraid someone will steal my meds thinking they might be something good. They are only good if you have allergies and migraines people!

We haven't gotten the letter yet.

I don't know anything about price. Hmmmmm.....I wonder if they are going to be charging more to pick it up in person?

Good question.

hmmmm....I order all my Mom's maintenance drugs from Caremark mail order (she used to have ExpressScripts). I get her quick order drugs from Costco. There's been no mention of getting those from the local CVS.

No, we got our letters in late December after DH's employer mandated all maintenance drugs go to the 90 day mail order system. I called our local CVS pharmacy that has all our RX's (formerly Longs Drugs and the closest pharmacy to us) they contacted our Dr's, updated our RX's to 90 days and we picked up the RX's a few days later. No troubles at all and no additional fee for in store pick up.

So you only paid the 2 month supply cost?

Yes, approx - our RX copays also went up and down this year so I didn't look at it that close but now that you point it out, yes the 90 day supply was about the cost of 2 co-pays. In one case the cost was actually less than what used to be our regular monthly copay because the copays on 90 day generics went way down while name brands and premiums went up.
