I can do this...Karyn's journal to lose 20!

HI!

You are doing a great job! Congrats on doing so well at McDonalds! I love McDonalds. Not really sure why.....but I do. At least I used too! I have not had it in a while.

Keep up the good work.

Hope you have a great day!

Good for you resisting McDonalds! It's not hard for me, since I hate McDonalds... I could actually tolerate it when they started offering the chicken salads, then I saw the documentary Supersize Me and I have not been able to eat there since...

You are still doing so good, you are making better choices and the scale is moving in the right direction! Keep it up!

Great job at McDonalds!! Good that you found that willpower you were searching for.

Since you seem to be on a baked potato kick, Someone shared at my last WW meeting that they put salsa and LF cheese and a little LF Sour Cream on their potao to do something different. A mexican potato. I might have to try that myself.

Have a great day!!

Yeah, I ran out of potatoes! I need to go and get some more, but taking DS to WalMart is NOT FUN. The grocery store is even worse, if you can believe that! So...I'll just make it until DH gets back on the 19th! :worried:

Today has been pretty good so far.

Breakfast-Lean Pocket (6 pts)

Lunch-can of Tyson chicken (2 pts), light mayo (2 pts), hardboiled egg (2 pts) and 10 reduced fat Ritz crackers (4 pts)

That leaves me 6 pts for dinner. Sounds like I'll be having a Lean Pocket!!! :flower:

Great job at resisting the lure of McDonald's! I hope that this week is a good one for you and your family! :flower:

Did good for dinner. I was finished with my Lean Pocket and realized that I had not eaten one fruit or vegetable today. :confused3 So I cooked some broccoli and ate an apple. I've got to do better than that. Tomorrow I need to concentrate on eating more veggies. I am going to have to break down and take the kids to WalMart to get a few more things. Almost out of milk and I NEED SOME POTATOES!!! At least I'm not addicted to brownies or cookies. :teeth:

Sounds like you're doing good!

Yep, the WalMart, back to school run is looming here. Need to do that soon.

Keep up the good work! :sunny:

Wal-Mart - gotta love that place...where else can you go in for one thing and end up spending in excess of $100?

Keep up the good work and remember to eat those veggies!!

You know if you have Wendy's there you can drive thru and order a plain potato to go.

But you probably can't wait until the 19th for milk. Good luck in Walmart!!

Yes, go to the store! Get the potatoes, they are your savior!! Is there anyone that can watch your DS for an hour while you go? We have a store here that actually has a children's play area and there are video monitors throughout the store so you can sneak a peek!

Have you tried putting veggies on your potato? I'm thinking little tiny pieces of broccoli or something. Just sneak it in anywhere you can!

Keep it up, good luck at the store. I always take my DD6 because she is such a good helper (getting food off the shelves, etc). However when I take both of them, one of them is always trying to ram the other with the cart, etc. I feel your pain!!

Karyn-
I have that same problem! I will eat a frozen dinner for lunch and dinner, then realize I have not had any fruits or veggies! I am getting better, though. Ever since I started planning my meals 2 days in advance, I have been getting more in. You are aware that you are lacking veggies, so it will not be a problem anymore :sunny:

Did better with veggies today. The kids have been absolutely crazy this afternoon, :crazy2: :crazy2: so no grocery store run. Jack is having a rough day, and Katelyn is feeding off of his frustration. He goes to the doctor for the first time (in Iowa) tomorrow, so I am hoping that we can get his medication adjusted before school starts. Autism is an interesting thing. He can be great one day and totally bouncing off the walls the next. :bounce: I love the calm days, but as he gets older, they are fewer and farther between. I would love to have a babysitter for them, but we had a bad experience with a girl who kept them last year and didn't have the patience to deal with him. It will take a LONG time to trust someone with them again! Until then, I will do the best I can!! :goodvibes

Breakast-Slim Fast shake

Lunch-some leftover turkey from the other night, broccoli, and green beans (a whole can!)

Dinner-a Lean Pocket and fat free chocolate pudding

I will probably need a small snack before I go to bed tonight, but I won't overdo it. Probably cereal. :daisy:

Hi, Karyn! I only have Maddie to take care of and sometimes that gets crazy! You must have a lot of strength to take care of 2! :wizard: Here is some pixie dust from me to you having a better day tomorrow! :wizard:

Very stressful morning around here. I have a lot to do today, and Jack is not cooperating at all. He has a doctor's appointment and I have to get Katelyn registered for ballet and gymnastics, and I STILL have to get to the grocery store. I managed to get some breakfast in between the screaming fits. I ate 2 packs of instant Country Ham and Red Eye Gravy grits. You can't get those in Iowa, so my parents mailed me a box!! :cool1:

Lunch may be something from Hardee's or I'll eat when we make it back home this afternoon. Wish me luck! :flower:

Good morning, Karyn! Today will be busy for you, at least it will go fast! I love grits! My DH's family is from Georgia and his mom makes the BESt grits ever! I had never had them before until we visited there a couple of years ago...they are yummy!

I hope you have a great day, I know what it's like to have a overfull plate with too much to do. Just do the best you can. Talk to ya soon!

Hi Karyn - Sorry to hear you are under so much stress right now! Is there anyone you can have come help you out? Your DH is in the military, they should be able to point you towards some resources for special needs kids. My ex-DH used to work for Rainbows United and that organization had trained people available to help out with special needs kids. Sometimes they are there with the parents, just to give them a break while at home. I hope you can find something like that in your area.

Besides all that (plus not making it to the store) you are eating pretty good! Don't forget your water and keep your head high.

Okay, today did get better. One of the older ladies from church called me this morning and wants us to come and visit tomorrow. She has a grandson that Jack and Katelyn can play with and she wants to be available to keep the kids when I need her to! Went to Hardee's for lunch. I got a kid's chicken finger meal (11.5 points). That was much better than what I REALLY wanted! I FINALLY made it to WalMart and GOT SOME POTATOES!! :goodvibes Anyone want to guess at what I am having for dinner? Anyone? Bueller? I also got some low fat Cheez Whiz to try. I am a big Cheez Whiz fan, so I thought it would be good on a potato. It only has 3.5 grams of fat per serving and the cheese I was using has 6 grams.

I'm going to try to get caught back up on reading journals tonight. I'm hoping that the kids will be tired from going so much today and will head to bed early. :flower:

Yea, potatoes!! That sounds really good right now! I love Yukon Gold ones!! Anyways, it sounds like your day is getting better! You are doing awesome, keep at it, girl! :wizard:

Hi Karyn,
Glad things are looking up. I hope the stress continues to go down. Hang in there!
