I called 911 and Hospice Yesterday Morning

Hospice is wonderful!!! They are fantastic for the patient and the family!! I think I'd have gone totally bonkers without the Hospice staff when my mom was dying from melanoma...at the same time Dad was diagnosed with congestive heart disease. After mom passed, the staff stayed in touch for over a year to keep tabs on my dad and the rest of us. They can offer respite care also, which sounds like something you could use...

DH went to see Mom tonight after work, he told me he has never seen her look so bad. He also said that he will be surprised if she is still here with us for Christmas.

My heart is broken, I hope Mom will not to suffer anymore. If Mom does make it out of the hospital, she will have to go most likely to a rehab center where they work with her. DH knows now that there is noway that I can do this at home. She will get better care than what I can give her.

Sounds to me like you did the right thing in letting your DH And BiL know about this! Is long term care an option! Best wishes and God Bless to your family!
