I call wdw today and...

wanted to get some quotes for June 6-13 2008
all 4 of my resorts had no rooms during this time!
Does this sound right there is not one room in all the rooms in 4 hotels to stay at? Only club level. I thought I was getting an early start for summer, guess not!

This does sound strange. I was able to book a standard view room 4 nights at rack rate at WL just last Tuesday for late May.

I am hoping for an AP discount.

We are going to the Poly in May and made our reservtions last July. I thought we were planning too far ahead until I heard other stories like yours. it seems many people book really far in advance. I hope you are able to find something that works out for you.

try going online...I just tried swan & dolphin...both show rooms as well as poly and GF I do know they don't always show the same availabilty by phone as one night when we added a day to our stay I was online and husband was on the phone with reservations and what I showed she said she didn't have for that hotel

I was looking into June at one point and found out on these boards that Gay days are the first week in June. This may be why the resorts are filled. There could also be some dance or sports competitions there too.

The past couple of weeks I've been checking online for August, September and October 2008 and they show only Club Level availability?? I thought perhaps they were waiting for the new rates or something before they open the rooms up for guests? I do hope that's the case!

My advice is to keep checking. Swan and Dolphin are convention properties, so they may be hosting a huge convention that week. Many schools get out in early to mid-June, so that may be another reason for the bookings. None of the hotels that you are interested in are host hotels for Gay Days, so I doubt that event will have much of an impact.

People cancel reservations all the time and you have eight months until your trip, so I am certain that something will open up at the properties that you are interested in. Just keep calling and you will eventually get what you want.

On Friday I booked standard garden-view at the Polynesian for seven nights in September. No problems making the booking and I was also able to obtain one of the AAA discounted rooms.

Just called today, CRO, got our reservstions at WL for 21 nights with AAA discount, no problem.

To be truthful, we just returned September 17. But we purchased AP's and want to get one more use out of them. Summer is a no go for us and the September trip was nice but is starting to back up into late summer too much. We had a coupon from Amtrak that had to be used before 2007 October and only thing we could get at a discounted rate in the WL was September, thats when we purchased our AP's so hence the Janurary 2008 trip. We're not sad though in going then, have been having withdrawals every day, ask wife in the am, where do you want to go now? or I'm going down to the pool, meet you there ! HA ! 39th trip and still can't get enough of it, go figure.

We booked our trip at Coronado Springs for early May 2008 way back in Feb of this year. I was afraid of that happening to us too. My husband thought I was nuts for booking so early. Geeze, good luck. I hope you find a room somewhere that you want!

I strongly suggest you call back. I just booked our April, 2008, trip a couple weeks ago and it took my 2nd call in the same day to get the resort I wanted. The first time I called, nothing was available even with flexible dates. I checked online right afterward and everything showed up as available, so I called back and sure enough everything was wide open. This was in a 2-hour span.

I think you should call back too!! I just checked online, and found availability for a std./garden view at all four of those hotels for your dates. The Dolphin is the cheapest, with the swan being next, and the GF and Poly being twice as much. Although you could get an AP discount at the GF or Poly later.

Try Dreams Unlimited, they have availability at the S/D, with the AP rate already. Great rates, plus you get an upgraded room with the AP. Good luck!!

I don't think it is too late. Just keep trying. They only release so many rooms at a time. What may not be available today may be available tomorrow or next week! Good Luck
