On Wednesday, I was walking into my allergist's office and lost my footing on the sidewalk. I didn't fall, but I had to take several big hard steps to right myself.
So I went to the acute care clinic right away, thinking I had blown out my ankle. They xrayed the ankle, and sent me home with a sprain.
By the next day, it was evident that it was the foot, and that something wasn't quite right, so I saw a podiatrist yesterday, who took foot xrays and found the break (it was pretty obvious on the xray--even I saw it!)
Now I'm in a boot and not supposed to bear weight on that foot, and re-visit the podiatrist on Monday. And I'm freaking out--I haven't broken anything worse than a toe ever!
Anyone have any sage advice (or reassurance)? I'm a big baby about stuff like this!

OUCH! Man, that stinks Binnie~take it easy, stay off it, and be good to yourself
Take any pain meds you've been prescribed and ibuprofen otherwise
Good thoughts and prayers for you
The funny thing is he has no idea how. Anyway, he also got to wear the beautiful boot and got some pretty good meds out of it but he recovered rather quickly and hopefully you will too.
