I am devastated. I pour my coffee every morning in that mug so I can have a little magic to get me going. We wont be returning until Sept 2008. That seems so far away. I don't think I can get one just like it anywhere except the parks. Oh well. It just gives me incentive to start planning a little more for our next trip. :sad1:

oh no!!:grouphug: I know how comforting it is because I use my mickey icon glass every day to get some magic too!

I have an idea but don't know if it could work. Could you call the store where you got it and describe it in detail....maybe they still have it and can ship it to you? worth a try

I couldn't believe it when I read this! I broke mine a few months ago at work and I was devastated! Everyone made fun of me (in a nice way). My reaction seemed so out of proportion that everyone thought it was very strange! My husband and I have a tradition of buying a new mug every time we go, starting with our honeymoon in 1997. We still have all of our mugs (only 3 each so far) and use them all the time. The one I bought last year I brought to work so I could enjoy it there, and someone left a glass cupboard door open which I walked into while holding it, and it caused me to let go of it and it smashed to pieces! I almost cried! Glad to see I'm not the only one. I'm going to replace it on our trip in 3 weeks and also get another one!

Thanks for the comforting words. I am so glad I'm not the only one who feels this way about their coffee mugs.:goodvibes

Thank you for your encouragement. I just spoke with a friend from here and her family will be at the World in May and she will pick one up for me. Everyone has been so helpful. Thanks:hug:

I know exactly how you feel. Mine was broken on our move from North Carolina to Chicago. DH forgot to close the door on the moving truck (it had been a very long, stressful weekend). Wwhen he pulled out of the driveway, we heard a huge crash. His toolbox and one other box fell out the back and he ran over it with the moving truck! :scared1: His toolbox was destroyed. The other box was not run over, thankfully. I picked it up and gently shook it and heard nothing rolling around. I thought all was well. It wasn't. When I started unpacking the box, I noticed my mug was broken. It had a hole right in the middle - like a puncture hole - and it had split in half. I was completely devastated. :sad1:

It was in the box with DH's mug that we had bought at the same time and my grandmother's antique glasses she received as a gift when she got married. Thankfully, everything else was okay, but I was still very upset. I had no idea when we would get back to Disney. Plus, I had never seen another one like it anywhere. It was Pooh and gang flying kites in a field. It was very soft coloring and had a Monet look and feel to it.

We ended up going back to Disney this January. We went to find the Disney Store we had bought it at on I-Drive (5 years ago), but the store had been torn down. Needless to say, I couldn't find another one like it. I did eventually buy another mug in the park before we left, but it just isn't the same.

I hope you can find another one!

I have POR, WL, and CBR.... do you need one?:confused3

Glad to hear you getting your mug replaced next month:banana:

I broke my SON's itched glass mug that he has had for four years and uses EVERY day he is home. Lucky for me he is away at school & with his baseball schedule is not expected to be back home unit May - at which time Hubby & I would have made our trip down & hopefully successfully replaced said mug before he finds out!!:lmao:

Keep your fingers cross that he doesn't come home for a surprise vist (I feel bad for breaking it because I know how much he likes it but i just dont want to hear him whine for a month - & yeah he will)

If you know the parks still sell the same mug you can replace it. See the link above. I have used this before, as long as you can give a good description of the item they can ship it to you. Good luck.

Thanks so much for posting this link! I knew I saw it on one of my Disney sites, but there was soooo much to wade through! My aunt has been dying to add 2 more coffee mugs to her Disney collection (still kicking herself she didn't buy them when we were last there), so she will be very happy.

Meanwhile, I am constantly photographing items (and their sku #'s) from the shops in Disney. I figure if I still want the stuff when I get home, then I can call (but of course I misplaced the number). Thanks again!!!!:thumbsup2
