Do we have to go to guest services to activate them? They do not appear to be vouchers but actual tickets.
Mousesavers indicates that you need a thumb print scan, so I am confused.

The vouchers usually come on ticket stock, what does it say on the back of the ticket.

I am not sure on the FITS passes but I think they do need to be activated at guest relations. Once they are activated then the first time through the turnstyle you will scan your fingers and it will be stored in the computer to match you to the ticket.

They are definately tickets. They may make you do a scan the first time you use it and each time thereafter. But they are definately tickets and Not vouchers.

How much are the 10 day passes?

Thank you, they did seem to be tickets but the thumb scan threw me off....some times it does not take much to get me confused!

Mercy,

I paid $336.00 for them about a month ago, they are now up to $348.00 on Paramount International's website, and then there is 15.00 shipping costs. They come with a free voucher for a character breakfast which includes tax and tip. We are using it for Chef Mickeys.
I know the Fun in the Sun tickets were a bit cheaper, but they were only good until the end of May this year and I was afraid to wait so I bought the 10 day tickets.

If thumb scan is needed for your pass, bring ID with you. They check ID if scan result shows "X" which happen a few times on me (I have AP).

Take note of how you position your thumb the first time. I probably could get mine to rescan only 15% of the time. Otherwise I had to keep standing there moving my finger all over the place!!!

Remember, if you are buying these from Paramount on-line, you have to go through the 'international' link!

There is no such thing as a "thumb print scan". It is a finger scan.
Your thumb is not even part of it.

From Mary's site.

A finger scan is required when you use these passes (the same kind of scan used for Annual Passes) to prevent them from being shared.

Definition of a finger scan from Deb's site:

This admission system has nothing to do with your fingerprints. It scans your index and middle fingers and uses a geometric formula to come up with a number that will identify your fingers. The calculated number is apparently something that is not totally unique, but is statistically significant in identifying you.

I do not mean to be rude, but was that answer really necessary? Is it such a big deal that I said thumb print instead of finger print?
That part of it was really not an issue, I just needed to know if I had to go to guest services. I got my answer from other posters and they answered in a nice way.

I did answer in a nice way. I wanted to point out that it is not a thumb scan so it would not confuse other members of this board.
It is also important to point out that your finger prints or thumb print are not taken. It is a bio scan, as I quoted earlier. Some folks get very upset at the thought of Disney having their fingerprints. What may not be an issue to you may be a HUGE issue to others. Sorry if my quoting facts bothered you, it was not my intent.

Well, then I apologize, it must be the way I read your post.
Thank you for your help.

Your apology is not necessary, it is hard to communicate in this medium. What one says in a nice way can come across the wrong way with the use of one or two words. I do have my moments of being snide and snippy and downright miserable, but, I promise, this was not one of those times. :)

We used the 10 day world pass this past Jan. We are from the USA and had no problems with it.

They are actual passes and you just go to the turnstile at the park and put the ticket in and put your fingers (like a peace sign) in the reader. The ticket is spit out and your ready to go!

No need to go to guest relations to get them activated. The 30 day pass requires you to go to guest relations and turn in vouchers like an annual pass...they take your personal info. at that time for the 30 day pass.
