I booked! But ... **Update**

I can't believe it, but today we actually made our reservations. (It's my husband, me and my sister and brother-in-law and, to be honest, I was worried our plans wouldn't get off the ground.) I'm so excited!

I just have a question. When we got the e-mail confirmation, it said:

Balance (USD) due at arrival 10/30/2008 $(amount)

Only, we'll be arriving on 11/29/2008. So, is the balance due a month before, or on arrival date? I checked, and our reservations are definitely for the right dates.

***Edited to add*** I talked to Disney this morning and they said it was just a wierd glitch. It still made me nervous, I guess this is first time jitters. I keep having to tell myself "Come on, you're an adult. No jumping up and down 243 days before your trip."

Yes, the balance is due earlier. We do not go until September 1. We made our $200 depost and our balance is due July 18.

thanks for the quick response! When we talked to a CM on the phone he said the balance would be due at check-in, but with so many CMs I guess miscommunication is common? I just wanted to make sure; no sense in not checking, right?

I thought balances were due 45 days prior to check in. Yours seems to be 30 days. But yes balances are due Prior to check in. It's in the fine print if you book online and the CM will tell you if making ressies on the phone.

Did you book a package?

All of our package balances (following our $200 deposit) have needed to be paid off in full by 45 days before our arrival.

Did you book room only?

After paying our first night's rate as our deposit at the time of reservation, our remaining balance was due at the time of check-in and phyically could not be applied prior to that date. We tried and it was taken then automatcially refunded

Room only reservations... one (1) night's deposit, balance due at check-in.

Mine is room-only, sorry I didn't clarify. What confused me was mainly the phrasing "Balance due at arrival 10/30/2008". To me, that sounds like I'd be arriving on 10/30. A few lines up, it says my arrival date is 11/29 (which is correct).

I s'pose it doesn't matter, because hopefully it will be paid in a few months. It just threw me for a loop ...

That's weird that the date is listed wrong. For room only its definately when you arrive.

Yeah, that doesn't sound right. I'd call back and check on that.
