I hadn't even thought of checking until tonight to see if our magic kingdom day fell on one of these "glorious" days. And yup, June 14th is on their calendar.

I tried to move my park days around, but nooooooooo. I would not be able to get new dining reservations for my party of 8 if I shuffled everything around.

If I have to decide what I'm going to eat 6 months in advance, maybe Disney could get their act together.

Every other day something new is popping up, but it's nothing new any of us want to hear about. I'm talking to you ROL thread folks.

So what is the consensus? Are these going to be horrible days at magic kingdom? We normally get there at rope drop and stay until lunch. Super disappointed.

You already have your plan set and that is more important then anything. Make your plan and use fast passes. It's June so the parks will be summer "busy" but not unmanageable. You won't be able to walk into rides like 7dwarf or Pan but you should be able to get on some of the non headliners still with less then a 20 mins wait.

Since you can't change your day based on a ADR my advice is go and have fun. Parks are busy no matter what day you go and MK is the busiest because it's the "park". But that doesn't mean you won't have a great day.

It's not going to be that many people. I expect once the rope drop crowd gets to FL it will be virtually impossible to discern any difference in crowd level. The impact will be on the PPO breakfast crowd if they expect to walk into an "empty" park and/or ride 7DMT before the RD crowd gets in.

We have a PPO BOG on one of these days (5/17), so we'll be able to see first hand what kind of difference it will make. While it would be nice to get a ride on 7DMT with no wait, our main objective is to have breakfast in the park on our first full day and get some pictures on Main Street in the way in. We have FP for 7DMT that same morning.

For June, it is every Tuesday and Saturday I believe.

Where are you seeing that? The morning hours aren't showing up on Disney's site that I could find anywhere.

EDIT: Nevermind, I see it. I was looking under events and its dining. Argh. Thankfully it only hits one of my 3 RD days. Glad I went with the TP Wed lower crowd prediction rather than the easyWDW recommended Tues. TP must be clairvoyant. :sad2:

I agree with this :thumbsup2 It bothers me to no end that Disney puts pressure on me to make my FP+ 60 days in advance and a week after I make them they announce these early morning and late night events. We spent several evenings looking at different park crowd calendars, picking our park days with the knowledge we had, and picking our fastpasses and now it seems all for nothing. I'm sure people are going to pay to go to these events, if there wasn't a market WDW wouldn't be selling it, so it's going to have to make the parks busier on those mornings and evenings. Our plans are set, it's too late to change them so I guess I will have to deal with it no matter what.

I will say this.......I've been to WDW 20+ times since 2003 and at least once every year since 2005. I think after our May trip I'm done, and at the very least I'm taking a few years break.

How do you think the Early Morning Magic would affect your plans? Your plans are already set. All this will do is let several hundred people in an hour early ... and since those people will be riding two of the most popular rides early, that means they won't be in those rides later.

They will maybe affect lines for other rides at RD, but I can't see this event being that large (since they have to serve breakfast to everyone) that it would drastically change how the park will be (especially in June where it will already be crowded .. early morning magic or not.).

Well are they letting a couple hundred of people in or five thousand? No one knows at this point. Some people won't eat the breakfast. They will head to ride the mountains and will have a jump on people there for the regular rope drop. So, yes I do think it will affect me.

Plus I am bringing two kids who have never been, and I wanted them to see the welcome show that won't happen.

Plus, it's just frustrating and not fair for Disney to set up a system where you hyper plan and then change the rules last minute.

Has anyone confirmed that early BOG reservations will be held back until later because of this events? I assume that will be the case...

We are 28 days out. I dumped my BOG 8:05 breakfast and just bought the stupid package. I had money ready for Rivers of Light dining package so I just used that for this. Very annoying however. There is no way to switch days at this point at BOG breakfast!

I don't understand how you'll miss the welcome show? I don't see this noted as not happening even with the Early Magic.

I'm wondering about this, too. I haven't been following this all that closely but have they said the morning show won't happen on days they have Early Morning Magic?

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!

I've been responding to all these threads about this stupid "event" thinking it wasn't going to affect my plans - but I was wrong!! My MK day is also June 14th!!!! ARRRGGGGGHHHHHH!

Now I'm off to go stew about my own plans.......

Where can I find the dates for early morning magic please? I am going in May. :)

If you look on May's calendar for the those days, no morning show is scheduled. You can't check for June yet. But I will assume if they aren't doing the early morning show in May on those days then they won't be doing one for the June days either.

Five thousand hardly sounds like the 'limited' amount Disney has advertised.

Where do you hear you won't see the welcome show? That has not been on any press release or information from Disney so far as I have seen.

I know it can be frustrating. So take a breath and relax. You are going to Disney World! :)
