I hate my current job with a passion. I finally started looking for something else about 6-8 weeks ago. I've had a few interviews that I thought went pretty good and then didn't get the job. I had an interview last week with a large university/hospital. It was a job I really wanted with an excellent institution.
The interview itself was so different from any other I've ever had. In my eyes, it just didn't seem to go well at all. I thought I had blown my opportunity. She had told me that she was interviewing 11 candidates and would be calling about 3 back for second interviews. I was so disheartened by the way it went that I didn't bother sending a thank-you letter.
Lo and behold, I got a call about an hour ago wanting to schedule a 2nd interview for next week. I couldn't believe it. I know it was because of all the prayers me and my family have been praying. I know it's just a 2nd interview, but I have a chance to redeem myself (in my eyes anyway). Trust me, that thank-you letter will emailed to her immediately after the interview. Please send me lots of prayers and pixie dust. You just don't understand my current work environment.

Isn't that always the way it goes? You think you did great and get nothing, and when you think you flopped you get that call. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
my job/career!
I hope you find something that makes you happy!
), and the first interview I went on went so well, the interviewer glowed over me, so I thought for sure she'd call me back with an offer. Well good thing I didn't hold my breath waiting for her to call. lol
