For the most magical vacation ever! There I said it. I was so nervous about it before we headed out for our nine night stay at POFQ during President's Day week, but I can't believe how wonderful it was!

Yes... We're that lazy family that doesn't make RD... My DS actually had a seizure and passed out in AK last year and though the doctors could never find what caused it, I worry my commando touring style contributed. This trip, we got to the parks when we got there. We knew we had the 3 FPs everyday, so we enjoyed all of the other things the parks had to offer. DS is now a bit obsessed with Sorcerers of the MK. Last year I would have thought we didn't have time for that. This year we made it to the night shows... Because we weren't running to the parks at 7am. We met more characters. We relaxed. We had a real vacation, and I attribute that to FP+ and of course to my own realization that I needed to slow down. I completely understand why some hate FP+. If my DS could keep up with that touring style I'm sure I would hate it too. I know we might not be typical, but this trip was the best trip I've ever taken. I had no intention of planning another any time soon, but I'm already tentatively planning for next February again. Just my 2 cents :). I figured this might be good for people like me reading who are trying to see if FP+ can actually benefit them.

so say that in the title instead of "negative" I Blame Fastpas +

There is enough negativity in this site. promote the positive for a change.

Thanks kind of why I did it that way. I figured if I posted "love FP+" with hearts and flowers then FP+ haters may just skip it all together. I admit before I went I might have skipped a post like that. I wanted to read every negative thing to prepare myself for the worst. Now I just realize all of my worry was for nothing!

I like the title. Will make people click it and have a surprise.

I like title also. Definitely a nice surprise.

Glad you had a great time.

I'm no medical expert, but I think you're being way too hard on yourself.

Your touring plan did not cause a seizure. (If it did, there would be Dis-kids dropping like flies.) Your son had a seizure because he had a seizure. If the doctors didn't find a reason, then don't assume you were to blame.

I think that, as parents, we so desperately want to protect our kids from this sort of thing that we take on superhuman powers in our own minds. You do NOT have the power to induce seizures, no matter how busy you were in WDW.

But I'm glad you found a way to stop and smell the roses, and that your son is OK. You poor thing, you must have been terrified.

Enjoy the planning!! I'm currently planning our family reunion/ silver anniversary trip for this summer, and I get such a kick out of the planning! And I'm looking forward to using FP+; my sister loved it when she went to WDW a month or two ago.

Great to hear! We're going RD commando our first day (MK) and maybe our second (Epcot) but we're there a week and there's 0 chance e could do that everyday. I'm hoping the adrenaline will carry us through the beginning....
It sounds like FP+ will be fine for us. Thanks for the update!:goodvibes

Yup. You reeled me in!

I am super nervous about our trip in July. But, I am making a mental note of all the positive FP+ posts.

I am glad you had a great time.

Not all FP+ haters are looking to just read the negative. I do not like FP+ at all for my family but I have been reading all reviews on it and I am glad that there are people it works for.

I also agree with the pp, nothing you did could bring on a seizure in your ds. Glad he had a great time this trip :)

Here now going on day 7. I have LOVED FP+! Best way I think to tour if you are wanting to get in a lot of rides is go early ride a bunch then take a break and go back and use your scheduled FP for later that night! Seriously not any complaints from me in 7 days.

I liked the title too...
;)
Glad to hear another positive take on FP+.
We've never been hardcore FP people, so the new system shouldn't effect us too much.

As for your son's seizure, I can't imagine how scary that was, but like another PP said, it wasn't your fault.

Speaking of negativity....sheesh.

Anyhow-
OP, good to hear it worked for you. I've been a little nervous myself and reading posts like yours have calmed my nerves.

To all you "lazy" people out there- you know who you are- two small kids, big stroller, backpacks, cameras, toys (of course!), having already had to go back to the room twice before getting on the boat to MK, dragged in 4 directions THIS is what FP+ has to offer. A way to relax and enjoy your vacation for a bit without having to drag your family out of bed at the crack of dawn.

We'll be there in a week, and I have read plenty of the hate and some of the love, and I am still reserving my opinion until after I've used it. :)
