I bit the bullet...

After agonizing :scared: over the decision, I upgraded to DlxDDP!!! We are staying at POP from 8/28 to 9/1. :dance3: and I chose to upgrade to the DlxDDP because I would like to get at least the Hoop De Doo Review for one dinner and CRT for either Brkfst or Lunch and we just didn't have enough credits for that.

After weighing the options (and cost), I figured that for one show it is approx. $151.00 (OOP) and if I add CRT Breakfast is is another $90.97 (OOP)...I have practically paid the amount of the DlxDDP upgrade (approx. $300.00)!!!

($241.97 OOP for show & CRT vs. $300.00 and flexibility for entire trip...kind of a no brainer for me :confused3 ). PLUS we get those darn re-fillable resort mugs (which I never bought before)!!!! :woohoo:

Why not have the flexibility of eating at the places we want to with penty of credits to spare!?!?!?! We would use the snack credits for water and such for the room and after swim at hotel (I am a HUGE water drinker...something akin to a camel!!! :rotfl: ). I thought about NOT doing the dinner show or CRT, but where is the fun for DD6 (and us too) in that??? :guilty:

Now, all I have to do it review my ADR's that are already in place and agonize anew over the additional ADR's I need to make!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Congrats and hopefully you won't be biting in bullets during your Disney Dining Adventure!

We have the exact same trip dates(AS Mu) and I've considered the upgrade myself. Just not sure my 6yo DNephew will appreciate the extra food as much as something else I might do like a pirate cruise. He'll be happy with pizza, fries, Uncrustables and breakfast foods. We get 4 TS credits and 3 are booked at character meals that I know he'll love.

I'll let you know if I join you on at the Deluxe level. Again congrats and enjoy!

That is whey we upgraded because we wanted to try some of the 2ts places and since we were getting the basic free this was a good opportunity for us.

Also the snack credits that we don't use through the week we will stock up on goodies for the kids to take home from Goofy's Candy Shop on the last night.

I did the same thing for both my May solo trip and our Sept trip. I am not much of a breakfast eater, so for the May trip I'll be eating an early TS lunch every day, then dine at a 2 credit Signature Restaurant every night. I've always wanted to try all the Signature Restaurants, but my family usually doesn't want to go, so this is my chance. For our Sept trip, I will be traveling with a diabetic who MUST eat three meals/day and a husband who loves to eat, so we will be doing three TS meals/day. The basic plan just didn't work for us. My mom MUST eat three meals/day and we all love the appetizers. The DxDDP, just made more sense.

Since I have not done any airfare yet, I am leaving the evening of the 28th open for a little while until I do. Then I will have an idea of what time we are going to be there. At first, I only did a 4 day park hopper (no waterparks because there's a pool at the hotel & this is a shorter trip) I decided to make it a 5 day park hopper just in case we fly earlier than I plan. It really depends on the flights available at the time I am ready to purchase them.

I was thinking of...

8/28
Perhaps a late ADR at Chef Mickey's

8/29
9:00am ROPE DROP
9:30am CRT - Breakfast (I want DD6 to get a wand!!!):cool1:
Day in Magic Kingdom
6:35pm Princess Storybook Akershus - Dinner

8/30
8:10am Ohana - Breakfast
Day in EPCOT
6:00pm Coral Reef - Dinner (for my seafood lovers)

8/31
DD6 Wants Donald's Safari Breakfast
Day in Animal Kingdom
I am going to book the Hoop De Doo Review!!!!

9/1
Perhaps a Late Breakfast at CRT???

This is my FIRST TIME with DlxDDP :scared1: ...so if you have any advice, I would appreciate it!!!

I was thinking of making some ADR's for lunches just in case...any thoughts?? We like Sci Fi (DD6 has never been) and 50's PT (DD6 loves it here).

I am just totally excited about going!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
