I barked at a few people yesterday...

And I am sorry... I have been working on my ride room (and for the record, I maybe a bit stressed about it but I AM Loveing the challange of it) and for some reason yestreday everyone and their mother was coming in to visit. (Not just DISers)

I am doing some complicated (to me)things in there... lots of tearing down and building back up and droping things behind other things... etc... and yesterday I kept getting distracted... Well meaning people.... mostly kids... mostly nonDISers.... who felt that Go Away, Do Not Enter Even Friends! Did not apply to them. You all know the story... yada yada yada

ANyway last night I got irratated with some folks... Even some Zeta's who, as it turns out were just riding the ride, not visiting me.... I was just in a bad mood yesterday....

Anyway, I am so sorry I booted and asked people to leave... This does not mean I no longer like you... or that I am mad at you... all it means is I was a bit stressed working on a project I LOVE, and tired of being interupted at just the wrong moment so I loose my train of thought and have to go back and figure out what it is that I was doing...

I swear I could sit in my Home Sweet Home room all day and no one would come and see me... but go into a room that says Go Away and the are on you like white on rice.....

So Again... I am so sorry..... HBOB.... MariaAnn...Smalld..... Briar....Nikki... LittleBelle.... your the ones I was extremely rude to last night (as appose to those I was 'just' rude too...) so I am Extremely sorry to you guys....

ON the up side... I did work out a few things with my room and things are looking up!!!!

Your a dog roof roof? Jk I hate it when people go into my rooms when I say leave they say why I am your friend I say im on the ride contest they said so then I boot and they delete me they were Pushing me to boot them and maybe delete them myself

People are very cheesy sometimes. I was riding a ride and guy asked me to be my friend, his reason was bc I was cool. But then every time he followed me or I went into a room he was in he would always ask me too trade. Finally he came into one of my rooms and said he needed a pirate hat. I told him I wasn't giving mine to him. Then I asked another friend if I could have a turnstile. Then the guy said he would give me one for my hat. I replied No Way!! then he left and I deleted him.

Moral of this extremely weird story: People sometimes only like you for your stuff

I ask if they need anything: no response, continue their conversations.

Oh, here's another one: everyone knows I laugh at Taken and virtual real-life things (like - crying - and all that). Take that into consideration during this next scene.

I'm working on my personal slide, one that anyone can ride whenever, when this girl pops in asking if she could have my room. She then walks over to me and:

I pull up her profile, got my finger on the Boot button and say 'Sure' a milli-sec before I click.

She then sends me a message detailing what I did.

I know it was mean and cruel: but I highly dislike stuff like that.

Here are some ideas:
Make the title of your room, for now: Not in any Room
That makes it less likely for people to follow you.

Put a turnstile at the door so people cannot get in

If people stand in your doorway and yap, then don't boot them but just click on their IGNORE button.

I'm right there with you sometimes bearz! There are days when I wish we had a button for do not disturb. I don't mean that to be anti-social, I just think that it is sometimes best to just do your thing and not have to talk to anyone. I have a room where I go when I am entering codes, which says I may not talk much. So, it's fair warning. If someone comes in and I feel like talking, I chat. If I don't, I don't respond. I get a a limited amount of time being able to play VMK, so sometimes I just need to do what I need to do.

Others that I know change their hair color or turn lights on or off in their rooms when they need to be treated as if they are afk. I figure if someone puts in their description that they are busy, puts in their room title that they are busy, and appears busy if I show up accidentally, then, maybe, they are busy! [I made the mistake once of showing up in someone's room who had the title something like "show up and I'll boot you" because I clicked on "enter room" from the friend's list, instead of "friends rooms" list. I got the boot, and got mad. Until I realized what I had just done!]

I am old, and have lots of miles on me and this whole THREE DIMENSIONAL THINKING is strecthing this old brain of mine to the point of Grumpy!! Lol

Because the problem is... your always in your afk room, but your never afk!

Now......... techincal since building only requires the use of a MOUSE and NOT a keyboard... I am truely AM away from keyboard while building. Kicked back in my chair, mouse in hand.....


I know I know I am so bad! This room is way way too much fun and has sucked all my VMK time AND CREDITS away! I will be back to chatting and playing soon!


ANd another little fact I have neglicited to share is that I need to ice down my laptop if it is on for more than an hour or two and that makes typing hard and chilly to do, as the ice pack acts like a wrist pad.... I guess it is making me cold blooded!

But Room IS coming along nicely though.... starting to get proud of it..... SO Leave Me Alone!

I never thought it was a good thing. But I really don't like that stuff. It really makes me want to quit VMK when something like that happens. But the fact that she was in my room while building for a good five minutes trying to get attention, was a tad annoying. Trust me when I say that the "Hug" conversation went on so much longer. She was really begging for a virtual hug, again and again.

I know that doesn't condone my actions, and I know it was really mean and cruel, but that's all I can do. I'm sorry, but I would most likely do that again if someone came into my slide room and tried a Taken Tactic on me.

You might want to check into the laptop chill pads and fans they have. They sit just under the laptop and provide room for air to circulate to keep the laptop cool.

Might help you out some.

I have one, but one of the fans broke in Hiton Head... Havent gotten around to buying a new one! And I happen to have a lot of ice packs from that same trip so..................
