I want to trade in my dining pkg, one day ticket in for an AP. We are going to take serveral trips this year. So, I also want the DDE card to use for our oop for dining for this trip and future trips this year.

Last time I purchased an AP I did not get the dining plan until after I had my AP activated. I recall it taking about a month to get the DDE card. Does anyone know that if I go down in AUG trade in the one day ticket for the AP, can I get the dining plan that day or in this trip? I think it is another number out of the midwest somewhere and not at customer service. I just want to know what to expect.

I'm not sure I completely understand your question but I'll give it a shot...you are wondering if you can order your DDE card while you are there after trading in your one day ticket for an AP. If you are arriving M-F and not on a weekend you can order the DDE card and have them send a letter to EPCOT Guest Relations. The letter works fine, not quite as convenient as the card, but it works just the same. If you arrive on a weekend I think you have to wait until Monday to call for the DDE card.

that is exactly how it works - we called 2 weeks before we went and got a confirmation number and collected at Epcot - just a note with both the card and the letter i was always asked to show my pic ID
