As much as I agree with this, I think that Matalan shouldn't think they could get away with treating people like this.

Also I think a letter to the head office is a good idea too, as they may not know what is going on with their stores.

I have been this morning to matalan 9am on the dot. The main manager who I wanted to see isnt in there until later on, so i explpained it all again to a duty manager and he is going to speak to the manager.
I told him that i was misinformed as well- I was told the induction days run on a monday/friday and infact they are tuesday/wednesday
I can't go in later on either as I have my friends funeral to attend this morning.
I will update if I ever hear anything more.

That is disgusting - I can't believe they have such an unprofessional attitutude to recruitment and surely they can't get away with treating people in this way. I would take it as far as I can. Get in touch with head office if you get no joy from the manager. Let us know how you get on.

No not sorted at all, I phoned again the other day to be told they are waiting to speak to the guy that interviewed me, and they will get back to me as they have my details.. nothing so far.
I am now not phoning again, as I dont want to feel like i'm begging for a job, so i'm now looking for another job
