OMG!! Your little girl saying someone touched her arm, sent shivers down my spine! That is just so creepy, there's just no other word for it!




YIKES!! It looks like two arms bending to pick her up...what's even more creepy is that your sweet little DD looks like she is looking right at "it"!

ETA: As I was typing this, DS 17 came through our front door....I jumped a foot off my seat and squealed "don't do that!" He looked at me like I was crazy

we do believe it was a spirit and we are certain it was a friendly spirit, we believe it was DD's great-grandma coming to see her since grandma passed away 7 months prior to her birth.

You know, I am a pretty matter-of-fact person, but I have had several unexplainable events happen to me and those I know, and I do believe that folks who love us, or with whom we have some connection, do come back.

Our house was built in 1945 by a man and his wife. They had no children. They lived in the house until they both died...he died after her about 13 years ago. So we are only the second owners of our house, even though it is an older house...60 years+.

There are many occasions when my dog will run into our kitchen, look up at the counter and start barking. Not the counter where we keep his cookie jar, because then I would just assume he was throwing me a not-so-subtle hint for a cookie , but he barks at the oppostie counter, where there is nothing but the coffeemaker and a couple of cutting boards. And he is barking with intention, at someone or something. I usually just say "What's up Ted? Did Stanley stop by for a visit?" (Stanley built the house). He instantly stops barking, as if Stanley has disappeared.

The year after my DFIL died, I was coming in to the house through my garage. My DFIL & I were very close. There was a mist sort of hanging in the garage. It was March, in CT, a bright sunny cool early spring afernoon, no humidity, and there was a visible cloud of mist in my garage that I had to walk through. Which I did, and it was cool, and I just "knew" it was my DFIL, stopping by for a visit on my birthday.

Years ago when I was a teenager (probably 18/19 years old) I was at a party at friend's house, who lived in a pretty rural area about 30 minutes form my hometown. Of course, we had a bit much to drink, I was driving home pretty late, through somewhat unfamiliar country roads that were dark. Suddenly, I heard someone scream "Stop", so I did. When my eyes sort of acclimated to the dark and the road, I realized that if I had kept driving in the direction that I was driving, I would have gone through a guardrail, down an embankment and into a stream. Whomever screamed stop did so to get my attention, and it worked, because it made me stop before I crashed. The rush of adrenaline you get after realizing that you avoided an accident because you were yelled at by some sort of spirit really sobers you up quickly.

I don't believe those who love us ever leave us. I also don't believe that if someone had a place they loved, such as a home or area, that they never go to it again. Maybe they just "stop by" once in a while to check on it.

You all are TOTALLY freaking me out! So so so glad it is daytime right now and that my DH is not away on a business trip!

I have an extremely vivid imagination and it doesn't take much to scare me out of my wits! I should not have opened this thread...

I'm the mom in the middle of the night that refuses to check her kid's closet or under the bed because *I'm* more scared of what's in there than they are! LOL! "What? You heard a noise in your closet and you want ME to come look? NO WAY! Go back to bed, kid! You're on your own!"
