OMG!!! :earseek: :scared1: Smileys like this were made for pics like that! Ok, you can't just post that with no details. Was anyone there? Could it have been some funky film glitch?
It looks like your baby can see it!!

nope nobody was in the room with me and the pic was taken at night that picture was taken about October 2005 and m grandmoter (the babies great-grandma) passed away when I was 2 months pregnant with her, makes me wonder :confused3 oh and I didn't see the image or arms while I took the picture but I did notice my DD staring really hard at thin air that day, just thought she was interested in the ceiling fan at 2 months old :confused3

Look I believe in ghosts and everything
But I have one question about the picture....Do you have bangs or short pieces of hair towards the front of your head? It looks like hair to me.
But I was watching a ghost show today..and I believe in ghosts 100%

Get out the garlic and light some candles!!!( Scary!!)

i havn't had bags in years and my hair is never short and DH and I tested the hair thing we took pics at severl different angels of 2 strands of hair and none came out looking like that

On July 4th my DH hung up our wireless doorbell. That night is went off at 9:30, on Wed night it went off at 10:00 both times no one was there. I looked up and said dad stop ringing the doorbell (dad passed 3-30-06) it has not rung since.

I am a very sensible person, well educated and reasonable. Which, I believe is why I am very freaked.

DD (6 yo) and I are alone in the house with the dogs. The dogs were outside, I am downstairs getting dinner moving and DD is obstensibly tidying her room.

I hear her exclaim from upstairs, "Hey, who touched me! Mom was that you?"

Cue the goosebumps....

No, I am downstairs. She insists that a "cold hand" grabbed her upper arm and let go.

More goosebumps. She is wearing a mask (don't ask) so I say, it must have been your mask. Nope, she is very clear in saying it was a cold hand that grabbed her and let go.

EEK! :scared1:

I AM SO SORRY, I DIDN'T WANT TO MAKE IT SEEM LIKE i HIGHJACKED YOUR THREAD WITH MY PICTURE DON'T BE MAD

When my now 7 year old was about 18 months he got this really funny look on his face. He was looking inot our dark dining room and said "Hi" - so I asked him who he was talking to and he said "your dad." I got pretty creeped out - and all night he kept looking in there and smiling. I finally turned on the light.

ps - I lived in a hauted dorm hall in college - Chloe was her name. They decided she was a Poltergeist - NOT fun.

I would be so out of there! We live in an old renovated house. Yes, someone has died in it, but we have not seen or heard anything, Thank the gods.

We watched Ghost Hunters or some type of show like that and they were doing a piece on Loretta Lynn and her Hurricane Hills house. She and her family lived in that house for years with ghost. They even pulled on her kids legs while they were in bed.

NO way, I can't believe she even stayed there for so long. She says they were friendly. OK whatever you say Lorettta. :scared1:

Ok I'm hanging up this thread, way to much so close to bedtime.

I think I see fingers, doesn't look like hair to me. And it still freaks me out!

When I was a little girl (around 5), I was playing in our den alone at night. I vividly remember looking down the dark hall towards the bedrooms and seeing little girls playing ring around the rosey. I ran to the living room and told my parents. They didn't see anything. Still freaks me out to this day.

I agree with the pieces of hair explanation for the picture. It could also very well be a double exposure, I used to get these quite often.

As for the OP, little girls have extraordinary imaginations. I used to swear up & down that I saw Satan outside my window on numerous occasions. As an adult, I now realize that I simply imagined it. I doubt the devil looks like a stick figure of a blazing red sun with arms who floats outside of windows.

Kids also have high levels of seratonin in the brain. This is the same chemical that is produced when drug users have hallucinations.

I used to live in an apartment that my best friend believed was haunted. The lamp would turn off by itself, and then turn back on just as you started to reach for it. Turned out that it was plugged in behind the couch, and the plug was loose, so every time someone sitting on the couch would shift their weight, the plug would jiggle just enough to turn the light on & off. It was so fun messing with her though!!

I'm not trying to debunk anyone else's ideas, just wanted to point out that there are non-supernatural explanations for many unexplained events.

that is all true and I use to be the same way, I use to find an explanation for everything when someone told me about a supernatural event that happened but after my grand-mother passed away, so many strange things has happened like my kitchen celing lights flickering 3 days after she has passed and those lights have been burnt out 6 months prior to her passing and we lazy people just never changed them, we put a pole lamp in the kitchen. We also believe that there was a child ghost living in our apartment at the time, DH and I both swore up and down our newborn DD was screaming bloody murder when she was sound asleep

Oh it's not that I'm a "nonbeliever", I just am never too quick to jump to conclusions.

I used to have a very good friend with some uncanny abilities... he once traveled hundreds of miles to see me because he somehow knew I was going through a tough time and needed a shoulder to cry on. This was about 5 years after we had lost touch and I had moved several times, and lost contact with all our old mutual friends, yet there he was on my doorstep. And years later, when I moved 1500 miles away from where I had lived for 15 years, I heard his voice very clearly my first night in my new place, just saying hi, and I felt better. So yes, things that cannot be explained DO happen. Just not often, in my opinion.

I didn't mean to sound like anyone's ideas or explanations were wrong, just that there could be many different interpretations of odd events and not to worry.

GEe why did I open this thread????
Now i"m TOTALLY freaked out! AND it's way passed my bedtime- I'm not gonna be sleeping anytime soon! THANKS A LOT!

To the OP - my frist thought was to check out dd's room - sorry but I didn't think ghost 1st I thought real person when I 1st read it - I'm with the others I'd be heading out for the night.

There IS a reason I have never lived alone (as a single) in my life - couldn't do it - I"M WAYYY to chicken! Every sound would have me leaving my house -especially if the dog were to bark @ an unusal time or something. Can't imagine being a single mom & having to be strong for my kiddos when I'd be scared silly!

its ok I don't think anyone took it as you were saying our explanations were wrong. There are still things today that friends tell me and I look at them like they are nuts.

this was taken about about 2 months after DD was born

YIKES!! It looks like two arms bending to pick her up...what's even more creepy is that your sweet little DD looks like she is looking right at "it"!
Must be a friendly spirit

ETA: As I was typing this, DS 17 came through our front door....I jumped a foot off my seat and squealed "don't do that!" He looked at me like I was crazy

My dniece almost 4 talks to her Nana. My mother passed away the year before dniece was born. Can you say "I see dead people" one of my favorite movie quotes.

if the girl felt someone touching her LEFT arm that can be a symptom of heart problems. I've had 5 heart attacks so I'm pretty familiar with the symptoms....

That is an interesting thing you said. As for the 5 heart attacks....:scared1:
How did you know?
Do you think stress tests are worth anything?

We live in a very, very old house. I really didn't want it, because I was afraid it would be haunted. Fortunately only had a few disturbances. I know for a fact I seen a small black dog running down the hall (this was before we had our dog). My dh had a small black dog that they had to put to sleep a few months before. I never felt scared though, but I knew what I saw-- no doubt about it.

Then about a 2 yrs ago-- I was having a lot of uneasy feelings in the house. Getting real jittery for a day or so. Then at night I woke up hearing someone in our room--- it was as clear as a bell-- heard dresser drawers openining and closing shut(we have a very large room) and distinct footsteps. I screamed for dh who had fallen asleep on the couch. Needless to say-- I still swear something/someone was in that room. Nobody was in the house that night besides us--we looked for evidence of a break-in. Also I have double story cathedral ceilings and our bedroom is on the second floor (very high up) you could only break-in via the first floor and dh was in the room right at the bottom of the stairs, so there was definetly something supernatural in the house. After being very upset for another day and sleeping w/ the lights on in the living room. We tried the please asking whatever was there to leave- and that was the last episode we had.

I truly believe something may of touched your dd. I would just ask if anything is there to please leave you (and your family) alone.
