So I am going for the first time since I was little in Sept. I am going with dd6 and dd9. They both wish they were princess. Do the cm just walk up to anyone, anyplace and the park and give you your magic wishes if they pick you? I understand that it could be anything from mouse ears to a stay in the castle but you do not have to be in any one place right????? Help!!!! :confused3 :confused3

My understanding is that it is pretty random. My family went in 07, and never got a "dream." I tried not to be disappointed, and I knew winning was a long shot. So I learned to expect nothing, hope for something, and enjoy the magic that comes your way!

The wishes are predetermined, as are the places they give them out (for the most part) So, no, your girls will not automatically become princesses if they get chosen. Chances are they will get ears, or fast passes or something else small like that.
The closest I can imagine that your princess girls will get to their dream is maybe a private moment with a princess.
Most often the prizes are awarded to people getting on/off rides or walking through the park. The Dream Team CMs will walk up to you/a group of people, pull you aside and give you the dream,. which is already predetermined.

They have "Orders" that go something like this " A family that is in cue for "Soarin" Middle section.. top row 2:45"

Or maybe Magic Kingdom... taking pictures with Roy Disney and Mikey Mouse Statue at 5:58.

You never know for who or what or where they are looking. It is random, changing every day... But you will see them .. white suits/shorts... sometimes with a camera crew with them.
May be Magic Fast Passes, Night in the Castle...

I've been close and seen the "tap" but not picked.

Your little girls can get the "Princess Treatment" at the "Bibbity Bobbity Boutique" It makes them feel like a princess. They get a very nice Crown. and you can pay for a very nice costume.. or bring your own from home.

BY the time you go They may have the one open actually in Cinderella's Castle.

i'm feeling your pain :guilty:
we were there 2x for YOMD & only got a glismp of the dream crew....taking someone else to get their prize...i was so depressed

We are not going with the demand but only the hope that it will happen to us or should I say me the girls do not know and really not care. They will just be happy to be near the castle.:)

OK Princesstrainer, let me give you some advice.

Call the Bibbidy Boppity Boutique and make an appointment either in the Magic Kingdom facility or the Downtown Disney Facility

Go to this website and order a princess dress:
http://disneyshopping.go.com

Also buy some nice shoes

Go to WDW and enjoy watching your princess get a makeover. You will cry when they are done because they will be so beautiful.

Then, be sure to go to the end of Main Street inside the cinema and there is a photographer who will take studio quality photos and add them to your photopass. Well worth it.

We have gone three times so far doing the 2 years of Year of a Million Dreams. I can honestly say that I never got anything or even saw the elusive Dream Squad, or Dream Team, or whatever they are called.

I did see people with Fastpass lanyards, which I think were auto Fst Passes for the major attractions.

Me Too!! Would be nice just to see the dream squad in action. ;)

Check the rules, etc, links in this http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1329422 thread.

Honestly, I'd rather not see the Dream Squad awarding prizes to anyone nearby - I'd rather see them award one to me :teeth:

I agree It is a REAL DOWNER when you SEE someone get a "Dream Squad Tap"
I should have a T-shirt made up for my next trip that says something like
I Went to WDW and SAW the "Dream Squad"... But they did not see me :sad1:

We won twice on our last trip Feb/March 2007. My dh and I traveled with my parents and in-laws. The first time we won we were waiting for the train in Frontierland, a CM came by and pulled us to the side, sort of roped us off, and handed out lanyards with a special pin.

The second time we won, we were at DHS. My mom and I wanted to ride TOT and no one wanted to join us. The ride was totally empty and when we walked into the library they gave us the YOMD mouse ears. The rest of the family was very jealous.:)

I think the real trick is to be in a lower crowd area as both times we were basically the only people waiting for the attraction. It's either that or it's because we brought my MIL, she wins things all the time. Me, not so much. :rotfl:

How do you identify them? Dressed in all white? Anything else?

They'll have White Vests and White Shorts I think they also wore Blue Ties and shirts. ( or the ones I have seen do)
And unfortunatly I have seen them 12 times. So close and yet so Far :sad1:
They stick out.
And sometimes they also have someone with a camera close by to film reactions.
