I just finished my freshman year of college and I would LOVE to be a part of this program.

What are the semesters ranging from?
Do I need to fill out the FAFSA?
What are generally the most sought after positions and locations (most wanted park)?
If I register for 12 credits how many classes and work do I have to do a week?
Any other basics I should know?

THANKSSSS

The seasons are Spring (Jan-May), Spring Advantage (Jan-Aug), Fall (Aug-early Jan), and Fall Advantage (May-early Jan).

No you do not

The most popular roles include attractions, entertainment (both character performer and character attendant), BBB, photopass, concierge/front desk (among others). Roles will differ based on the person. Same goes for locations

CPs will work a minimum of 30 hours a week. Of course, based on the time of year and role/location, it could be a LOT more. During non-holidays, you could work up to 45-50 hours a week. And during holidays, it could be a lot more.

I worked there as college program 2005. Do not go during the summer. It is the peak season and I was scheduled to work well beyond 50 hours a week. I was scheduled 12 hour days, 7 days a week. When they tell you the most you will get is 30 hours, that is b.s. But it is a lot of fun and I don't regret doing it one bit. :-)

I can't really answer the rest of your questions becuase it was so long ago but I don't remember having to fill out a FAFSA. Even with having to work lots of hours, go. Just go if you love Disney. I was tired a lot but it was wonderful.

Things may have changed since 2005 but for my program we were told a MINIMUM of 30 hours - not the most. Considering I was in a 1 BR at $95 a week, I would never have survived if it was a max of 30 hours

The college program is an internship, not an actual college (which was what I thought when I first heard it haha!) so there is no need to fill out a FASFA. You're basically taking a semester off from college and working at Disney, living on property, and earning important skills about working.

You can work in the spring semester or the fall semester. If you want to apply for the Spring term, the applications come out in the fall (example: this fall 2011 the applications for spring 2012 term are coming out) and vice versa for applying for the fall term.

Each member chooses whether or not they want to take Disney classes. Not all classes can give you actual college credit. Plan on talking to your advisor first about doing the program and if they will accept the credits. 12 credits will probably be 4 classes, but you can only take up to 2 classes. If you do a Spring or Fall advantage term you can take 4 classes.

There is a lot of information here on the fourms and on the college program website. Just make sure you talk to your school about the program, cause you may never know if they allow their students to participate in it. I haven't done the program, but this site has giving me so much information I feel like an expert lol, and you will too.
