We have 8 days on DxDDP and well.. I have like 15 ADRs to make all with this new system... I have a feeling even if I can get through quickly (which I am not holding my breath about with) that it will take literally HOURS to get all those ADRs done... ~sigh~ Last year my ADR day was so exciting... this year... not so much! :(

(Plus... I am going to feel bad keeping a CM on the phone so long with all those people waiting to get through... )

Hi,

Don't worry...I made four ADRs last week for our trip in May and it took less than ten minutes, including the time spent on hold!

shouldn't take very long if you are organized and know what you want and when -
do one day at a time and have 2 or 3 choices of times for each of your choices so you can offer options -

if there is something you know you HAVE to get start with that day and work your way back to the least important and have some back up plans

Last week the ADR's were fine but anyone trying to make them for May 26th or later are having to deal with the new system.

I called this morning to make mine and they couldn't get my confirmation to come up and therefore couldn't make my ADR's for me. I called at 7am and waited an hour then it took them another 30 minutes to figure out that there was a problem and my reservation couldn't be brought up and couldn't make the resevations. She took all my info and would get back to me but I am worried that the ones I want won't be available once they do.

I called back at 9:30am and another hour hold and was told the same thing

My question was how about the people that aren't staying onsite and don't have confirmation numbers, well they didn't have an answer for me on that one.

Does anyone have any tips for me at all?? HELP!!!

As far as I know the only new system is 90 days VS the 180 days.

I spent 1 hour and 45 minutes holding last Sunday to schedule on the 26th and 27th of May and finally hung up. The 23rd thru 25th was quick. I was transferred to a different CM for the last 2 days of my reservations. I was told that not all the CM's are trained yet on the new system.

So on Monday morning I was ready and waiting for their 7am opening. I still held for 20 minutes. I had to be one of the first calls through because I made connection at exactly 7am. After getting a CM, she put me on hold frequently just to make reservations for 2 ADRs.

The CM did tell me that the new reservation system is fantastic. I am sure things will become quicker when they become accustomed to it.

Yes, what changes after May 26th? I didn't realize there were more changes coming! What else do I need to know before I can make ressies for our August trip?

We leave on May 26th so I had no problems yesterday calling for what I wanted on the 23rd & 25th. Wait time was only 3 minutes. I had not read up on the new changes other than it was going from 180 days to 90 days. I was surprised to find that they now take your res. confirmation # and that they've eliminated the ability to book 2 meals during the same "dining period". I don't recall ever having to give my res. # before. I have always booked all the meals that I wanted in the past and was able to call & cancel what I didn't want after we decided whate we DIDN'T want when it got closer to our trip. But now you can't even book like a late lunch at 4:00 and then a dinner for a later time (like 9:00) because they fall in the same dining period.:sad2: They have really taken whatever flexibility there was left out of being able to eat. We will just do more CS meals than deal with that sort of bull.

That is exactly why they came up with this new system. Too many people were making double bookings making it impossible for others to get some restaurant reservations. A lot of people were being shut out by people doing this.

Disney dining has a new reservation system for reservations May 26 and later. The rules haven't changed, except the ability for people to double book restaurants, just their system but they are having issues with it. Like my reservation that was booked online that they couldn't pull up to make my reservations.

I am going to try and call back and say I am staying offsite to see if they can book it for me because anyone offsite will not have a reservation number. I know I can't do the 90 + 10 this way but I don't want to wait for them to call me back

So...I only want to make one ADR for my trip in June for my family of four. But my mom and stepdad are the ones who made the hotel reservations for everyone (Group of eight). I can't get my ADR without knowing all their info?

If you have two rooms each room has its own reservation number and that is what you will need

so does anyone know how the new system would work if you are not staying on disney property?
TIA

It is 1pm and I am STILL on hold from 9:30am this morning. OK, I called and waited an hour the first time, had to hang up. Called back not long after and again after 45 minutes had to hang up. I am now on hold again....40 minutes already and still no answer!!

UGH!!!!! Make sure you are on the phone at 7am!

Being on at 7am didn't help me. I had to wait a long time and longer still while they were trying to figure out why they couldn't pull up my reservation to make my ADR's. It is 1:25pm here on the east coast and I am on my 3rd call and still no ADR's still can't pull up my ressie

OK, on the phone finally, and the new date is May 28th. It is completely new! They will have to have your reservation number if onsite and nothing if offsite. They will take information though, to try to keep track of dining, to make sure people aren't overbooking. Not sure how they will do that really, but worth a try I guess.

Anyway, now you don't get your reservation numbers until the very end of booking everything and they are going to be 12 digits instead of the 8 we are used to.

OH, so check this out. They can now put in what you want and it shows if it is available on another day if it isn't available on the day you want...that is COOL! I have always wished it would do that and now it will.

For example, I asked for May 29th for lunch and she told me no lunches that day, but they did have May 31st for lunch. With them taking the information on your travel dates, it is going to show the whole time you are there for them!! Woohoo

OH and the new system also requires the 3 digit code on your credit card...which they have never asked for before...so make sure you have that ready!
