I booked BLT 2 bedroom villa for August( had a pin code ) but I also can't seem to get the Wilderness Lodge villas out of my mind. I have a theme park view at BLT. If given the choice, which would you choose? Also, can anyone tell me if there is a direct bus to Epcot if we did not want to do the monorail transfer? Some people stated it is a pain in the butt to transfer....:confused3

I would go with Bay Lake Tower because of the Resort Monorail access from the Contemporary, the walkway to the Magic Kingdom, the Theme Park View and having the Contempo Cafe which is one of my favorie Quick Service locatios. There are no direct Buses to Epcot from the Contemporary/Bay Lake Tower, however they add them once the Monorail's have closed for the evening.

The Wilderness Lodge/Villas at Wilderness Lodge is the only Magic Kingdom Resort that offers a direct Bus to Epcot.

Personally I don't think it's a pain at all when getting on the Epcot Monorail at the Transportation & Ticket Center because once you get on the Resort Monorail at the Contemporary the TTC is the next stop. Then it's very easy walking over to the Epcot Monorail. Now coming back from Epcot it would take a little longer since the Resort Monorail will stop at the Polynesian, Grand Floridian and Magic Kingdom once you get back on the Resort Monorail at the TTC, however I never had problems doing that.

Wow...BLT no hesitation. So convenient! MK views! California Grill! Chef Mickey's! Walkway to MK...fast transport to the monorail TTC. Good luck :yay:

The villas lobby .... Yesterday

Haven't stayed at BLT but just got back from WL - I would go BLT. WL was nice, but not my favorite. Plus, the thought of having the monorail to get to MK and Epocot right there is just too good to not choose. Either way though, have a wonderful time!

BTL for the monorail. It will be HOT & humid in August and having the monorail access for quick trips back to the hotel would be great.

A theme park view means you will be on the outside of the "ring". This means that your villa will be larger than one on the inside (pool side). The villa will be larger than a villa at VWL as well. So for space alone, BLT would win.

I have stayed at both BLT and VWL, and while I love VWL, I think in August, BLT will be the better option. On those rainy afternoons, you will appreciate being under cover from the time you board a monorail until you reach your room. The boats to WL you may or may not be under cover.

I prefer VWL in the cooler weather, when you can enjoy sitting by a fireplace and the cozy lodge feeling.
