Hey all! I will be teaching fifth grade this year and we will be going on a field trip to Epcot (sometime between Oct-Dec). Anyway, I thought it would be very cool for my class to get maps from Epcot from you all here on the DIS and any tips you may want to share w/ my class!!!! Soooo, if you are going anytime soon... can you pick up an extra map or two and send it along w/ a message to my kids ???

School starts Aug 14th, so any time after that would be great to receive them.
Save the address on your frig or somewhere that you will remember!!

You can send them to:

Mrs. Suzanne Brown c/o
Welleby Elementary School
3230 Nob Hill Rd.
Sunrise, FL 33351

Thanks a million!!!!!!!!

Sounds like fun. 5th grade is such a cool year for kids! My twins just finished 5th grade and they had a great year. Their class is amazing, every teacher's dream class, have been since pre-school. The kids all get along, no catty fighting with the girls, a strong academic class. The kids pretty much keep the couple boys that could be trouble makers in check because THEY don't like the behavior either. Every year their teachers have said the same thing, they are the most amazing class they have ever had! It is a good thing because the class ahead of them is every teachers NIGHTMARE!

We aren't going to Epcot any time this year or I would send something. I will look to see if we have anything we can send from out trip last year (we just moved so I have NO idea where it might be though).

Ok, Enquiring Minds want to know.

Does WDW do any incentives for schools' in Florida, like read so many books and earn a ticket, otherwise how do you take a classroom full of kids? I know there is a Florida Resident Pass, but other than that how do you do it.

We did this field trip in 6th grade--it was sooo much fun!

I'm not going any time soon but wish you luck and fun in the planning!

There is--I can't locate my link at the moment--but I think you get a chaperone free or maybe a free ticket for every 10 purchased. The "incentive" is actually a little on the modest side in my opinion.

Their may or may not be a quanitity discount. I don't really remember.

I will try and locate the link. But they don't offer any "reward" incentive programs for students.

I have tons of maps I kept from my recent trip. If you want me to send them pm me.

EPCOT has maps in lots of different languages too, so their maps are particularly cool.

I know we're going over Labor Day weekend, and I'd be happy to pick up a complete set if you still haven't gotten them. Just send me a pm to remind me.

We're checking in on August 13th. I just put your address in my "official WDW notebook"

How exciting for the kids!!!

There are Group Rate ticket plans that the FL schools use. Also, if any child in the class has an Annual Pass or a Seasonal Pass, the student can use that and just pay the bus fee from the school to EPCOT.

Cool, I always wondered about-how school kids received tickets or not.

Disney used to have a program that gave teachers a free ticket (no students required to be there). After I found out about it, they discontinued it before DH and I could plan a trip (we both have a teacher's license). :guilty:

Thanks all! I am actually going to the YC over Labor day, but not any parks. We are a bit "parked out" at the moment. I will pm you to remind you, if you want!
