You guys are killing me, the cakes we don't have....at least I've never seen them. Do you guys find the same thing as me in the U.S. that their selection of chocolate is just not that good. I'm used to the sweeter, milkier chocolate like Cadbury.

For me it's actually not a problem. I love peanut butter chocolate/candy and I just can't get it here, so I'm in peanut butter heaven when we come over to the US. At Goofy's candy co, a rice krispie Mickey head gets covered in everything peanut-butter-chocolatey

PM me your mailing address and I'll send you some Reese's! This is actually the best time of year for Reese's pnutbutter cups. You see, they come out with these Reese's Peanut Butter EGGS for Easter and they have the perfect chocolate-to-peanut butter ratio! I'll send ya some ... :)

Wow thank you! You're on and we'll send you something in return that you'd like from the UK.
I'll PM you tomorrow. Thanks!

I can actually get Reeses Peanut Butter Cups in my Union shop, however in egg form sounds fantastic!!

You candy seems like a lot more fun than ours!

Loving the cake in a can! I used to eat that as a child, you used to boil them in the can too, or something like that!

Heinz make anything in cans... even cake in cans! :cake: They also make a lot of the weight watchers food over here, not all in cans!

Oh, come on Kevin, think about who you are talking to, if we don't have at least 3 disney trips in the works at any one time, we are slackin' :cool1:

I'd like to go anywhere with Yvette, she's a walking party:

You might want to avoid the dark corners of EPCOT with her leading however :rotfl2:

Good point, never let the blind girl lead the expedition.

And why not? I am legally blind and pushed Anna around the parks in the wheelchair. An almost blind girl pushing a wheelchair through crowds of people, scary huh.

Good to know...I'm always on the search for another wife. Legally blind always helps :)

When I tell people about stuff like this.....they never believe me.:rolleyes1

Your not alone there Kevin ;) Im in for Paris. I'd love to see paris in the spring time..
Please no more meets in December. Those of us who have blackout dates of travel during the holidays really would like to go to something... :confused3

We'll be there :goodvibes

I think the main reason is the bad exchange rate from Dollars to Euros that you guys get - not that I am complaining as it benefits us ;)
We Americans get a better exchange rate now against the euro and the British pound than in the past few years.

I absolutely love how I asked one simple question and somehow everyone is "planning" a trip (that hasn't even been mentioned) and discussing great chocolate treats.

The people on these boards are awesome.

And now I crave a chocolate treat.....:rotfl:

Don't I know it! Right when I am planning a trip! I guess it is the exchange gods getting back at me for going a couple of years ago when it was 2 dollars to the pound!

Here here. We are definitely being hit by the exchange gods - last two trips have been 1.4 and 1.5 dollars to the pound. However I'm not complaining because 1.5 is where the exchange rate SHOULD be.
We were incredibly lucky to buy DVC a couple of years ago at that amazing two dollars to the pound. In fact I think it was about 2.04 and then about a month later it started to decline.....so the gods are getting revenge on us now!

We visited London & Germany in 2004. My Sister's DH was sent there on business for two years. While in Germany we found the best ever candy bar, Ritter. As we drove around Germany we would treat ourselves to a Ritter bar once a day. My favorite was the dark chocolate Marzipan. I stocked up on some on my way home. I then purchased some on line. Imagine my surprise:scared1: when walking through Rite-Aid I saw a whole selection of Ritter bars. I was sooooo excited:dance3:. So now I don't have to leave the country to get my Ritter "fix". But wouldn't mind leaving the country to get my "Disney fix". :goodvibesPenny

Wow I don't check the boards for a day and look what I miss!! A trip to Paris, Slapwhitey trying to calculate the depreciated value of my first born...CADBURY WORLD!!! That is like the vatican for a chubby girl like me!!

We were planning a huge 40th birthday trip for my 40th in August of 2012. Somehow we overlooked the fact that this is the Olympics in London. Probably not the best time for a visit!!! Well I guess it could be, but we don't want to deal with the extra crowds and inflated prices.

So maybe this was meant to be....although I woul really have to take my son with me so timing would be important. A trip to DLP without him would be just plain rude!!
