I am sooooooo tickled over this!!!!

This just tickles the heck out of me! Garrett drew this Easter picture on his own. He wrote the words on his own. Noone told him what to write or showed him the words or even told him letters to write! I am sure you don't realize just how awesome this is! I had no clue he could do this. I swear, if he could talk, I would probably be amazed at what he knows!

(In case you can't tell......he wrote "The Easter" at the top and "Grandmas" at the bottom) I knew he could write his name, but that was about it (or so I thought!!)

(okay, so he spelled Grandmas wrong, but he got the G sound!)

I guess he still is at school, but they have not sent one home for our use. He still uses some sign, though.

My DS (Down Syndrome) is 12 also and can talk up a blue streak but would not be able to make a picture like that. Awesome!!
