The day before the price increase i spoke to TwO CMs who assured me that as long as I renew before July 1st I would be able to get the old pricing. Well today I finally get my renewal letter and it is offering renewal at the new prices. I called in and spoke to a cast member and she says oh yeah they misinformed me and they had recently given the correct information. I tell her that we were even going to upgrade our passes...she giggles and says "you still can" pause "at the new prices!" i was so mad i hung up and now i can't remember her name. I alao spOke to a manager and he says there is nothing he can do. I guess this ends out 9 years of annual passes and all our trips to Disneyland for now. I am super upset and we are Disney lovers!! I can't believe this! I would have bought new vouchers with the payment plan if i had known...or if they just gave the right infOrmation. Super bummed right now!

What a bummer. When did you speak to the two CM's that said you could wait until July 1st? I can't imagine why they would say that when the price increase took effect on May 20th!

That stinks. I'm sorry :(

Hmm....I am not sure where people got this idea. It has always been the policy that once the higher prices go into effect, even the renewal offers currently out there are no longer valid. For example, for us, we were within our Renewal period, but if we had waited the few days until the price increase we would have had to pay the price increased price.

Now, I may be able to help you renew at the old gate price (you won't get the $20 discount), some supermarkets in the area sell Annual Passes and some of those still have them at the old prices.

Last year, the price increase was about June 15th. My AP expired Aug 22. I bought an AP prior to the increase. However, when my pass came up for renewal July 15th, it had the old renewal price. They usually honor the renewal prices for 40 days after the increase.

id call back and try to talk to some one, just see if you can get any help ive heard disney is so good at trying to fix problems and since it was there cms who gave you wrong info you should ry again

I have learned that you keep calling back. You will eventually get someone who is willing to give you what you want. So I say keep trying.

If you're unable to renew at the old price, lots of the supermarkets still have the old price gift cards on display, available for purchase.

My understanding was that if you had a pass that expired on or before July 1, you could renew at the old price if you did so by July 1. This fits in with the 40 day renewal window. If you had a pass that expired after July 1, you were out of luck for renewing at the old prices, and the renewal letters that went out after May 20 would be for these post July 1 expiring passes and would have the new prices. I agree with PPs who suggest you go look at the grocery stores for annual pass vouchers still being sold at the old prices; it sounds like there are still a few left out there.

I just renewed my AP at the old prices using online renewal two days ago. Try online and see what happens.

I also called on the day before the increases and she volunteered that if we renewed before July 1 the old rate would apply. You've got to call back ( my card expires more than 40 days after July 1 so it won't help me).

I spoke to another AP holder that weekend who was told the same thing.

THANK YOU! After reading your post I renewed our annual passes online at the old price and my passes expire 7/9. Did it just now, so if your due to expire soon, don't wait.:yay:

Definitely call again! You're supposed to have the 40 day window others have mentioned. If that fails go to Safeway and find yourself a voucher, they are still selling them at old prices, but HURRY!!!

In years past I have always received the old rate when renewing within 40 days after a price increase. Even when the AP had expired a couple weeks before, they just backdated the start date and gave the old rate. This year I had to buy new APs to activate later as our current APs don't expire until August and October. Definitely try on-line renewal or at the ticket booth if you can. I was at a ticket booth when I renewed mine at the old rate. Good luck!

call back do not get the run around say now I know many ppl who have the 40day window and many who say if its before the july 1st i can get the old rates. heck say I am on the dis boards I know this stuff, even if the cast members are confused do not let them screw you around

I finally was able to log in and see the old prices...BUT...i didn't have the money at the time...and now that i got paid the website is not working to renew the passes..you can't call in and pay for the passes and everytime i call they always say that i am subject to the new prices...why can't they see that they offered me the old prices?? i don't get it!!!
