people at my work dont understand!! So thought i'd come here and spread my exciting news!

i've just booked my first ever character meals for my holiday in June/July this year .... oh oh OH and my holiday is THIS year - at last!!!

I've booked Crystal Palace (Pooh & Friends) for our first character meal, Breakfastastorous (sp!) with Donald etc and will be booking Cinderella Castle for breakfast on our last day next week!

i'm so excited I think i'll burst - goodness knows what i'll be like when I get to single digits. I'll probably get so excited, fall over and break a limb knowing me!!!

So, to get me in the mood, why not post up your pics of whatever character meal you have been to PPPPLLLLLEEEAAAAASSSSEEEEE:yay:

Character breakfasts are the best!!! Enjoy! We'll be eating with Lilo and Stitch later this month. :cool1: :cool1:

I love the character meals, too! Especially the breakfast character meals. I love Donald's Breakfastosaurus, O'Hana with Stitch and Friends, and Liberty Tree Tavern. I enjoy several others but those are my favorites. We did a ton of character meals our last trip (Dec. 14-23). Have fun! Here's a pic of us at Donald's Breakfast this last trip:

How do "Character Meals" work? I've seen the commercials with people hanging out with characters while eating, but what do they do exactly, does it cost extra? Do they visit other tables too?

Basically, you sit down at a table to eat your meal like at any other restaurant. Throughout your meal, characters are going from table to table. They have a rotation they go through. If you're there long enough or if its not very busy, the characters will come by your table more than once. You can get pictures with them or have them sign your autograph book if you have one. You can get some good character interaction at the character meals, too. It doesn't cost "extra" to do a character meal, but table service meals at WDW aren't exactly cheap. For just about every dinner we did, we spent between $70 and $80 for the two of us. The breakfast character meals are cheapter. We spent between $50 and $60 for those.

You will have a great time with POO AND FRIENDS.

Here's a picture of my DH and I at Crystal Palace(ask for Linda for your waitress, she's a delight!).

Hi, I am excited for you also. I can't wait to book some special events... We are going to Disney on August 14th for 12 days. Is there a good place to find a listing of the places that take and need reservations?

When can I start making reservations???:cheer2:

Hey Racey,

Please be sure to post your pics from the breakfasts and don't forget to take your LGMH's!!!! :) My DH doesn't want to book one while we are there in April, he says it wouldn't be any fun without the kids.................heeeellllooooo???????

I would say to make reservations (adrs) at any/all table service restaurants that interest you. There is a possibility (rumor) of free dining again this year, and if that comes true, the restaurants will be packed! If you are staying at a resort, you can make your adrs at 180 days out from your arrival date for the next ten days, then you would have to call again at 180 days out from day 11.....unless this has changed for 2007, I read that WDW may start letting you make them for your entire length of stay, but no confirmation on that yet!
Good luck! and to the OP...woooooooooooo hoooooo!:cool1: I'm staying 8 days and have 7 character meals planned!! I love it!!!!!!!!!

Well of course you came to the right place to find people to share your excitement. Congrats on your bookings. You are going to have so much fun at your meals. We love character meals. Sorry I don't know how to post pics. Have a magical trip!:wizard: :goodvibes

You may want to book your Cinderella's castle breakfast NOW for the first day available and then if you can get it for your last day, cancel the first ressie. Some trips I have had to try several days in a row to get a reservation for this one!

Here's Minnie and I at Liberty Tree Tavern. Isn't her colonial outfit cute? :cutie:

There are fun things you can do at the character breakfasts. Like bring peanuts for Chip&Dale, Ask Minnie where her ring is, Ask Mickey when he's gonna marry Minnie, etc. I have more pictures but ya'll have probably seen enough of me.
