I am just soo excited so I figured that I would share this with my DIS peeps (since my co-workers really won’t understand)
I have been planning a special trip to DLR for the past few months… It’s special because we will be bringing my mom with us (me and my 2 boys) this weekend to celebrate her birthday. She hasn’t been to DLR since I was in high school and I wanted her to come with us during the holidays to see the decorations and “discover” the parks again with her grandsons…
Okay, now to the exciting part… I was checking the calendar for the AP4 rates and noticed that this Saturday was open for the PPH view room for149/night… I have been trying to get the AP rate for the last couple of months, but they were booked so I ended up with a room at the Tropicana. Well, after checking today online, I called and got a theme park room for nearly the same price! Woohoo… :cool1:
I figured I will keep this as a surprise until we pull into the hotel driveway…
Thanks for letting me share!!! I will now continue with my happy dance…
:dancer:

Oh how Cool!! I'm sure you all will enjoy the theme park view room!! :wizard:
Good reseach!!:surfweb: You rise to... Super Planner!!

That is great news, Congrats!!. Do you check in on Saturday? We arrive Friday(tomorrow) for 2 nights. There are ten of us celebrating my parents wedding anniversary. See you there!!!

party: Congrats, Wendy! We're doing the AP4 dance over at the Pier Sun-Tues.

I hope we all get a break from the deluge the next few days.

Thanks, but I really think that it's super luck!!! I must give the credit to my dad.. Had he not offered my sister and I tickets to see Garth Brooks in January, I would not have gone online to check the cancellation policy which led me to see that Saturday was available. :yay:

We arrive on Saturday... Hopefully the rain will have stopped by then, but I am crazy since I LOVE Disneyland in the rain...

Have a great weekend everyone... I will be with my boys wearing their crazy hats... If you see us, say hi!

That is great, and what a treat for Grandma! We'll be at the PP, too. See you there! It looks like the rain is coming in on Friday, so hopefully Saturday will be pretty nice.

we are also arriving tomorrow & staying for a few days. We're staying at the Grand Californian & hoping for bunk beds. We just upgraded yesterday to the concierge and I am so excited. So lets all hope the weather isnt as bad as they are saying!

I'll be there with my daughter & her friend and my husband who is 6'7' - cant miss him! He has a long blond ponytail and will be wearing his Detroit Redwings baseball cap (it never comes off) so say hi if you see us. I describe him because he stands out the most of all of us!

Wendy,

Were your boys wearing their way cool Disney rasta headgear on Sunday? Were you all in the very short Alice line around 8:45 - 9am?

OMG.. That was us!!! You should have said something... It would have been cool to see a fellow disser...

BTW, we had a FANTASTIC time!!! When we checked into the PPH, we were told that we were the Magical Moments Family of the day and they upgraded us to a Family Suite  The suite was soo beautiful and had an awesome view of DCA.

My mom really enjoyed lunch at Carnation Cafe and our dinner at Naples. I am soo glad that we made PS for Naples because it was raining and they closed the outdoor seating section..
Fantasmic PS was amazing!!! I am soo thankful that we were able to get there early and get seats in the front row... :thumbsup2

My mom got emotional during the fireworks and it was soo cool to see her there with her grandchildren...

On Sunday, the dreams continued as we won dream fastpasses while entering "It's tough to be a bug". My youngest asked to go to this and boy were we glad that we listened to him... For the rest of the day he kept telling me "Mom, aren't you glad that you said yes to the Bug Movie?".....

My mom got a little choked up when we were in line for Soarin.. She saw the SR71 picture and got emotional since my Grandfather (Her Dad) designed the wings on that plane... He passed away right after my youngest was born and it's the little things like a picture of a plane that catch you off guard.. She loved the ride and we went on it a couple of times...

I wish that we would have had another full day to play, but we had to get back to work... She understands now why we spend 3-4 days at the Happiest Place on Earth.. :goodvibes

Once I get all of my pics downloaded, I will do a mini TR..

Glad to hear that you had a great time too!!!!

I had an opportunity to meet Kelly Johnson many years ago What a brilliant mind. You should be very proud of your father.
