I got stitches in my arm and I am going to take them out today by myself with finger nail clippers

Yeah, well, don't come crying to us when your arm falls off! :p

Seriously, that really shouldn't hurt that bad as long as your arm has healed, which it HASN'T, so don't do it. We don't need a one armed Jason around here. :p

I did that last year, and it turned out to be too soon. All it took was one dog to jump on me, and it opened up again! I wasn't about to go get it stitched up again though, so I just put a couple butterfly sutures on and forgot about it. Now I have a big scar though!

If you were a real man, you'd rip them out with your teeth!:smooth:

But then again, you would have stitched yourself up, as well!!;)

Everyone is going to think I am nuts for going along with you on this but here is some helpful hints if you are serious:

Make sure the clippers and a pair of tweezers are clean and pour some alcohol over them.

Then, when you clip the stitch with the clipers, clip one side of the knot, not both. Then use the tweezers to get ahold of the knot and tug. be careful you do not get some newly healing skin, too.

Clean the area well when you are done and use something like Nerosporin.

Really, it's not that bed, folks if you are SURE it has healed suficiently.

Jason, deary, if it's not healed up, I will yell at you.

You better hope it's healed, Jason. Gangrene will be nothing compared to what I'll do to you if you hurt yourself.

Is this from the paper cut??

See Shep, you scared that paper cut into full fledged stitches after telling Jason I could come kiss his boo boo for him.;)

Actually, I had nothing to do with those stitches-this time.;)

Taking them out by yourself is no big deal. Let me know when you can put them in by yourself. :teeth:

LOL, Laura, I agree. Good luck with this, Jason.
