I am so tickled!!!!!!

As some of you know, my DS Garrett (who also has Down Syndrome) was diagnosed at the end of May with Celiac disease and was put on a special diet. I am so tickled to report that today was "measuring" day and, for the first time in 2 years, I was able to move Garrett's growth line!!!!!!

So after 2+ years of not growing, not gaining weight, having constant diarrhea, and totally NO energy, he has grown 1" and gained 5 pounds!!! The diarrhea has stopped and he has more energy than I know what to do with!!! LOL!!!

He also has now mastered the G, A, and T's in his name and only needs guidance on his R's and E!!!

Sorry to glee to you guys over this, but it made my day to see that growth chart change!!!!!

We have friends who have a 6 year old Downs fella named Patrick. They had a rough first few years with him, both respiratory and feeding wise. He seems to have outgrown that, and is the joy of many peoples' lives (DHa dn I included ).
