I am so proud!!!

Last night I walked into our bedroom to find my 22 month old son sitting in a chair, watching one of WDW Vacation Planning videos - he was clapping with a big huge smile on his face!! He turned on the TV and VCR, picked out the video and started it all by himself!!

I put together a colored paper chain last weekend and now he gets so excited to cut off a link for our countdown to our October trip.

Yes, we have bred another Disney fanatic. I'm so proud!!

Just wait untill he's old enough to answer you when you ask him if he'd like to go somewhere else besides WDW on vacation and replies, "Why would we do that?"

My DS started watching that vacation video when he was about 1 yrs old. We have to watch it almost every single day now! He'll be 4 in October. We' ve worn out 3 of them already! I never thought I would ever get tired of those videos until now.

I had to laugh when I read your post because my DD (age 2.5) learned how to use the TV and VCR (by herself) to watch her WDW vacation planning video too!

Now, if she figures out how to watch the DVD, we'll be watching WDW all the time!

I would really love it if my child only watched VHS movies!

My DD (3.5) has set the parental controls on our DVD player so that my husband and I cannot watch any movies rated higher than "G". I don't know what she has programmed the password to be and I can't figure out how to reset it.

I'm too embarrassed to call JVC to ask them!

Oh well, I guess you can never watch too many Disney movies!

 

[Needs Motivation]

I tried getting the kids excited about our trip last year by watching the planning video a few times. They both wandered off after a few minutes leaving me to watch it without paying attention to anything else. I guess I was the biggest kid in the room after all.
