I had mashed potatoes, turkey, cranberry sauce, deviled eggs, rolls, peas, gravy, toll house pie and pumpkin pie. I didn't eat breakfast because of this big lunch and now..I'm stuffed.

Anyone else do thanksgiving for lunch?

The side dishes are cooking right now, and your post made me SOOOOO hungry! :rotfl: We had sweet rolls for breakfast and some cheese and crackers to snack on.. waiting for the main meal in about a half hour.

We did lunch today and I am trying not to fall asleep, because if I do I want sleep tonight. Now we have to do the hole thing over again Saturday with the hubbys family. :crazy2:

Had pumpkin pie for breakfast :teeth:
Heading out in a couple of hours for the real feast :hyper: Yummy! I am so hungry.

Yeah, I'm fighting sleep right now too.

Definitely very full...very full...

I didn't even finish my plate and try everything. There was too much food, but my DH likes it that way so he can have leftovers.

Yum, I had a pb&J sandwich. My feast isn't until Sunday

We eat ours at dinner time (630-7 pm). First there are appetizers, then the meal, then desserts. Then I get up and do Black Friday!

Last night we had our Thanksgiving dinner since all the kids were in and available.

We had pumpkin pie, pecan pie, and a chocolate-chip bunt cake. I made green bean caserole, sweet potatao caserole, ham, turkey, mashed potatos and gravy.

The roast has a bit of a story to it. Well, last night as we were cooking it, some gravy spilled over and got into the bottom of the stove. The stove smoked so bad that we had to open every door and air out the house. The smoke alarm went off and everyone handled it remarkably well. Except for my baby grandson (7 months), he looked around like "What the heck is going on!"

So, we had a good time, Even the "Smoked Roast" was good! lol :teeth:

I was so full that by the time I got to desert, I couldn't eat anthing else ...for a few hours.... ;) lol

Just got home from family. The food was great and I'm stuffed and tired.

We went to the Poarch Creek Indian Pow Wow this morning, it was really nice. So the turkey is roasting, I made the stuffing yesterday, and I am going to make cinnamon apples. We have pumpkin and blueberry pie. There are just the two of us so I just don't make all the side dishes anymore. We might have a roll too.

Yes, we ate at 1, but after I ate I said "Umm, I think this occasion calls for elastic pants?" And I haven't dared to venture out ot them yet :rotfl:

And I am STILL STUFFED! DH just woke from his "turkey nap" and I just had Pumpkin Pie with french vanilla cool whip! :p

I am full as well. I had my Vegan fake Chicken patties ( it's not really meat and does not have animal products it just kinda looks and taste like Chicken lol ) and a few bites of my cereal in Soy Milk and I am full. Sometimes it does not take much for little me to get full lol

Still full from turkey and the works and moving on to the next holiday here. Not long after we ate we put up the Christmas tree.  It's been a productive day!

Myst

We just finished. I don't have to unzip my pants but I am really stuffed!
Very delicious.....I'll wait until charley brown is on for some pie. YUM

I'm full too! We were planning to eat at 1:00, but the turkey took longer to cook than planned, so it was about 1:30 by the time we finally ate. We had turkey, two types of salad, stuffing, cranberries, cooked carrots, cooked green beans, corn bread, rolls, mashed potatos, pumpkin pie, pecan pie and chocolate chip cookies. I did eat way too much, but the food was fantastic! U don't think I'll be eating again anytime soon. :)

I had everything ready and on the table at 12:00pm. I was one happy camper to know that all of that cooking is over.....at least for this year.

We had turkey, dressing, broccoli-rice-n-cheese casserole, sweet potato casserole, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, rolls, green beans, deviled eggs, chicken-n-dumplins, potato salad, mashed potatoes, gravy, fresh fruit salad, and cranberry sauce. All of it was put together by me, most of it from scratch.

The obsessive planning skills learned here on the DIS came in quite handy. I work 5 days a week, so in order to get this all done, I started with the cooking on Saturday, bit by bit, dish by dish, getting it all together. I was so pleased that my inlaws enjoyed their meal. I have to admit, that was one more awesome turkey breast. I did a brine soak for 48 hours and roasted it in an oven bag. It was heavenly. My inlaws said that I put on a better holiday meal than they do. :teeth: I felt pretty good about that. Maggie
