I am SO excited!!!

Coming back to FW one year from now! I have been to Disney many times but its been about 6 years since camping at FW! My family is coming and we are bringing an RV and a trailer. We've booked our spots. We are bringing small kids, which will be a first for us at the campsites!!

We have requested the spots to be next to each other, preferably in the 100 loop. Anything else I should think about in terms of location?? Tips for FW with littles?

Do sites ever go on sale? We are paying rack rates since so far out, but I've heard they don't go on sale, anyway.

I'm not laughing at you, DisneyMom. The demand for campsites is very high so campsites are rarely discounted. For the general public, the only discount now has come in the late August-end of September time frame (excluding Labor Day weekend). AAA discounts went away about two years ago so rack rates are what you should expect to pay if you go. In fact, demand for campsites is so high that they took out a loop of cabins and converted them (back) to campsites (cabins have less profit potential even when you factor in the higher per night rate).

We've stayed in/requested 100 loop the last five trips too. It's our current favorite.

Not to hijack, but we hope to take our first trip to the Fort in August. We've been to Disney several times but we haven't camped there before. How do we get any deals that you mentioned above and also how do you request a particular loop?

As for the discounts, you have to watch the link on the main Disney World website, www.disneyworld.com, down at the bottom of the page called "Special Offers".

Whenever one comes out that affects the cabins or campsites, we post an update here on the Camping Forum. Here is the thread from last year when the announcement came out late April for discounts starting August 1: https://www.disboards.com/threads/2...016-campsites-released.3505391/#post-55640551 . It was a little confusing at first because the timing of the other resorts along with cabins/campsites were different but in post #2, our poster parrothead#64 specified the campsites were for "most days" 08/26/16 to 10/01/16. But it was a 20% discount (when one was available).

When you make a reservation on the phone, add a request to your CM when talking to request your desired loop. If you make the reservation on-line, you have to call to get it added still as far as I know. The Fort will try to grant your loop request if possible.

Finally, loops are each person's preference - sort of like your style of formal dress. You might not like my choices and I might not like yours. We like Preferred because we can take the short walk to the boat and ride to MK which is our favorite park to visit by far. We drive (and park for free) to the other parks which we rarely go to. But there are practically NO bad sites at the Fort.

Thanks so very much!! I reserved online so I will try to call next week and have our request added! I think my husband wants to go with Premium for more space and I think our son would like to be sort of near the pool, so I will search it out. This board is amazingly helpful and reading all these posts have me super excited to go just like the OP.

No Bad sites.... Just some that are better then others (based on your preferences of course). We are just happy to be at the Fort and/or Disney.
