I found out today that 2 very dear friends of my family have died in the last year. No one called to tell us about the first one. I would have definately gone to her funeral, she was a wonderful lady that I have known almost all my life, a real grandmother type figure for me. They folowed my dad when he left to go to another church even though it meant they would travel a lot more. They were just always there you know? The other just died this week that is how we found out about the first. He was her son. 
Another friend called my mum when he heard.
this is a family that I spent the better part of my teen years around. The daughter was one of my best friends in High School. They came to my wedding. We were part of this small little church that my dad pastored. It was one of those where you keep in touch with everyone forever. Over the years so many have passed and we have heard. Now most of them are gone and we just dont hear about them anymore.
Im sorry Im rambling, this just hit me really hard tonight. My dad is gone and so many from that group are gone now. I know its the way of things. but dammit it really stinks sometimes.
