That's it, I am officially an "oldie" I was listening to the "lite" music station I normally listen to and didn't recognize any of the songs they were playing. I switched over to the "oldies" station thinking I would get some fun 50's tunes and they were playing songs I listened to in high school

On the flip side, I found a station with music I like :lmao:.

Yeah I remember the first time I heard one of the songs I listened to in high school referred to as an oldie. Makes you feel old. I was thinking: "but....but.... I was there when that first came out....that was only in 197?.....OMG it's THAT old!" :scared1: What's even worse is when one of those songs is played on the elevator :rotfl:

They're even playing 80s on the "oldies" station now. I've been a Duran Duran fan since the beginning...it really hurts to hear them on that station!

Yep, or on the muzak in stores...I knew I was getting old when the song playing on my I-pod was the same one playing in the local Giant Food .

Was it Kool 1008? I noticed they abandoned the true oldies a long time ago, and play more modern oldies. Yep, I am an oldie too apparently LOL. But I must say, I miss the old stuff they used to play now and then. I have to go to Sirius to get that now.

Haha, I have another "you're know you're getting old" moment...

You know you're getting old when you walk into an antique/collectibles store and see a toy from your childhood.

True story.

agnes!

The "oldies" station in Pittsburgh plays songs from the 80s - stuff like Cyndi Lauper and Bruce Springsteen! I'm only 30, so I feel like my childhood songs should not be on oldies radio. I like music from the 50s and 60s, but I think they only play that kind of music really early on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Hee Hee. For me, that moment came when my DD10 announced she was going to get the "historical" American Girl doll from the 1970s cuz that was SO long ago...:rotfl:
