I am now beyond excited for Pandora

So I was listening to the Connecting with Walt Podcast and Michael was talking about Pirates in Shanghai and I realized this is going to be the ride tech for the Pandora Boat ride. After watching the ride video of that Pirates, I can say, I don't care what the IP is. This is going to be an amazing ride!

However it will only be about a third of the length of the pirates ride in shanghai. The Navi river journey will be 4-5 minutes long.

However when the ride is over, you stay in the same environment as you walk around (maybe other than an exit walkway). Unlike getting out of Pirates (although I have not really seen the Shanghai Pirate Land so).

Either way it will be immersive before and after.

I thought it was in the 10-12 range. It's been a while so I could be wrong. Either way it's still shorter than pirates in shanghai.

Well Star Wars won't have a boat ride. I'm sure they'll use the AA technology though.

Looks like a cool ride! It's weird to me to see it based completely off of the movie series, that was based off of the original Disneyland ride. No "Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me"!

Didn't someone say recently navi river ride is the largest ride ever made? That doesn't mean it's longer though as it was mentioned in destination d that it's the same tech on the end animatronic as in shanghai pirate but the blue creatures (no clue what they are really called) are bigger than humans so they had more room to put in more things to make that happen in the head.

I guess I kind of answered myself, if creatures in it are suppose to be larger than humans than the ride needs to be bigger so it looks right and that doesn't mean it also has a longer ride time.

Who said that? Because that's certainly not true. I posted the map of the land and the boat ride is definitely not that large.

The ride has been measured at 4-5 minutes.

I honestly don't remember and it might have been yesterdays disunplugged but it also could have just been a side joke.. sometimes they are hard to distinguish. I was more asking what you heard.

I'll go find the map again but the ride is not very big at all. We are looking at Frozen Ever After length.

No that building is for the Flight of Passage attraction.

The river ride is pretty small, I have marked it in red below. For comparison, Dinosaur is in blue. They may have been referring to the Flight of Passage ride which by volume is a pretty big show building, although I don't know if it is the largest.
