Lunch looks yummy. I've only done Les Chefs once and that was for dinner. I was a fan.

Oh Kathy, I can sympathize with you on having an empty nest. Its even worse when they move farther away. My oldest dd, Kate, currently lives in Baltimore (about 45 minutes away) and is moving to New Jersey with her boyfriend Chris. Luckily she just accepted a good job at NYU! She has lived in NYC for 10 of the last 14 years, so its not like she has always been so close, but I will miss her. My oldest son, Steven, lives about 4 miles from me with his wife Melissa, so that is some consolation! My younger son, Andrew, lives in Pittsburgh, about 4.5 hours away, and then the youngest, Shannon (or Izze as she likes to be known), lives in Chicago.

We have the football rivalry going in our house too. My entire family are Ravens fans, my dh Charlie, daughter-in-law Melissa - her son, Joe, and Kate's boyfriend Chris are all Steelers fans. I don't know where we went wrong .

Anyway - great fun at AK - my DDs like RPW too. Especially Sarah, who I think should become a vet. She says no, she'd be too sad when animals are sick or die. Sweet thing.

Empty nest, huh? I've got a ways to go for that around here. Last night both girls were out for the evening and DH and I actually had time to do things ourselves - including watch a movie that I've been wanting to see for a while. It was so nice.
I hope the kids will be close by so you can see them regularly.

As for empty nest, believe me you and Mark will enjoy it as long as your kids don't move far. Ours are still in the same town as we are, so for my hubs and I it's been kinda fun to have the house all to ourselves.

Playing catch up this weekend. Good thing I'm not following a lot of TR's.

DTD looked like fun and I agree the buses are way to cold. I freeze on them and I don't mind the cold.

EWW on the pool. We have a few bio closings at our pool every summer. Not fun when it's 95 degrees and you can't swim.

Good score on the Elsa doll. I looked for something Frozen when I was there for my DGD and found nothing. She LOVES that movie. I have a DVD system in my van and she'll watch it even on a 5 minute ride.

The meal at Chefs de France looked good but it's not on my radar. My DH won't even go in the France pavilion.

Glad your mom is doing a little better. And Mark is staying busy umping baseball. Our season ended abruptly. Our club wasn't chosen to handle the Elite District games so our director refused to send a team to the Districts. The team my DGS was already chosen to be on. They are getting an earful at the next meeting.

Your son and DIL's anniversary pics are so cute. They are a nice looking couple.

I know… ours is the 24th? (i think) I've been having one he77 of a time linking everything to MDE account. What a pain in the rear. Took tech support over 24 hours to get our PAP vouchers linked yesterday. Now it shows our hotel reservation on one page but not on the next. Looks like I'll be spending a few more hours on the phone with them tonight.

Don't even get me started on that thing. I'm afraid we might have issues on the 21st, but I have a number to call the next day if I have problems (long story...I'll fill you in later).

WE were there for 3 days…. hard to fit everything in.

Yes, we do. If I'm not mistaken, looking at my schedule from when we talked earlier, we are going to meet you at the Studios on Monday morning to meet the kids, say hello, etc. Then we have breakfast on Tuesday at the Crystal Palace and we'll hang out in the a.m. together (and possibly do the party with you that night).

We have not eaten at Chefs, but every time I see that soup in someone pictures or videos, I can taste it!

I love that soup!

I am not surprised those dolls were gone so quickly. It does look like Hollywood Studios is now doing a pretty good job of really stocking up the Frozen merchandise now, so maybe our girls will have decent luck finding things when we are there.

I hope the girls have good luck each finding something they want.

Avery looked beautiful as a mermaid, and Cayley was an adorable princess! Your meeting with Anna and Elsa looked fun! I have to make my FP+ selections soon and I'm debating on whether or not to get one for them...I LOVE Elsa (I mean, Anna too, but Elsa is my fav!) but they make me so nervous...

Why do they make you nervous? They truly were a lot of fun and I'm getting one for Mark and I (although I've not told him). They are "separate" now...you see them individually which I preferred them together.

Yak and Yeti looks so good in all of the TR's I see it in, but I never go there, it always gets bumped for something else! Someday I'll try it!

True...they are always cute, but this day there was more cutness than normal. And of course you loved the Goofy picture best, Marv.

I just love how so many people rave about Les Chefs de France and then order things that are considered American. ...... Where's the escargot or ratatouille? Of course based on the one time I ate there I think I prefer walking on back to the patisserie personally.

There is NO way you will ever see me eating a snail. I like the theme of the restaurant AND my grilled ham and cheese.

The girls look so cute and 5 minutes for characters... yup I would be in line.

No doubt; I can wait five minutes for any character (well, maybe except Stitch).

So crazy how fast the frozen stuff "melts" off the shelves.

My dinner at Chefs was ....... well probably not the best to judge from. With all my stupid allergies I ended up with a very bland and boring chicken and potato chunks. It was good but VERY plain. No skin either he took off the skin because it might have a little bit of garlic on it which I told he could leave on as long as I knew it was there I could deal with it if need but NOOOoooooo

That's too bad.

May have to go with the mac and cheese... or the kids cheeseburger.

Andy loved the mac and cheese in December 2013.

Smart move to grab the dolls quickly. I guess I just hit it lucky in early December scoring Anna and Elsa barbie sized dolls for my granddaughter for Christmas.

I love the outfits on the girls! Very appropriate for meeting Minnie. Also, I love how they call you two "Miss Kathy" and "Mr. Mark." So sweet.

They always have. I think this year it was a little more just "Kathy"...which is fine with me; but they are such sweet and polite girls.

I've never eaten at Chefs, but that ham and cheese sandwich looks really tasty. Interesting how they melted cheese on the outside.

Markie's shoulder is healing well. He still has a little pain when he "overdoes" it by playing softball. But he is still doing therapy and healing well. Thank you for asking.

I didn't want to say on FB but when your kids first leave, its like a little honeymoon season! k: It is hard to adjust to, but you will find your own routines together, and it makes your time together that much more special!

I know we don't see him much now and he is 28 and should be on his own, I guess it's just knowing the last one is gone. But no reason now NOT to sell the house at some point and move.

I must confess that in all the times I've been to AK we have never made it over to Rafiki's Planet Watch! I'll have to fix that next month.

Funny you should say that. The Cast Member actually thanked us for "not" buying several and trying to make money off them. She said you'd be amazed how many people do it (and that is no dig at your statement...just ironic that you mentioned it).

We were seated in that same little room last fall... right at opening. I actually really liked it. I loved how we saw people walking by... as though we were in some bistro in paris. I love the food there!

It was very nice over here I just found it kind of weird as we've never been brought over there.

Yes, it is a Colts. And she hasn't let Mark forget yet that the Colts beat the Packers in the 2012-2013 season. Bears fans in NW Indiana? That's rather odd, isn't it?

delighted to have you. And we still have a long way to go and happy to have you join us. That shrimp at CHH, despite being a counter service, is pretty darn good. We did have a lot of fun. I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures. Perhaps DS will do the pirate thing for you...I saw much older kids getting it done. Hopefully we will know the settlement on the job this week.
