Hello Everyone,

I am new to disboards.com, I am planning our first trip to Disney with our son who will be four...We want to got next year before he starts Kindergarten in Sept....Any suggestions on the best time to go? Input would be greatly appreciated...

Welcome!! If your son isn't yet in school, you should have no problem booking a great time to go.

I really enjoyed going during off-peak times in January, when the crowds are light and there's not as much waiting around (though the weather can get cool at night and the parks aren't open as late). It's less expensive too, the room rates are cheaper if you're staying on property.

Welcome, look into going in the Value Season dates. The crowds are lighter and the cost is cheaper.

our fave trip was March but they were all great

A good time would be to go in August-September when they offer free dining plan.
Really all times are good at Disney. Are there any activites you are looking at participating in? Disney has a calendar of events if there is something you and your family are interested in participating.

Welcome! I am also planning my families first trip to WDW. My daughter is school age but I am just opting for her to take a week off so we can go off peak time in October. From everything I've read it's not as intensely hot, less crowds and of course Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party! Hope this helps, have fun planning I know I am!
