I am Miss Unmotivated

Usually I have no troubles getting motivated to work in my album, but not lately! We have all had some sort of bug- my kids had it TERRIBLY last night- both were throwing up and had diarrhea...to top it off the power went out from 4-9:15 so we were sitting in the cold and darkness (well, candlelight) while they were suffering. We have been snowed/iced in for the last 3 days- we can drive if we need to, thanks to our trusty Subaru AWD, but everything is closed..so I have had some great time to work on my album...and have I done a thing? No. I even lugged all my stuff down to CA last week when I was visiting my parents and in-laws and I got 1 page done. What is my deal? I am not behind in the grand scheme of things, but for me I am...I am usually that scrapbooker everyone hates because I am caught up, or only have 2-3 rolls to scrap...now I am about 8-10 rolls behind and I just look at it all and sigh. And I am supposed to be cheering others on as a CMC! I have tons of cute supplies, idea sheets, but here I sit, looking glazed at the computer. HELP!

I used to say a good crop with some friends would get me out of a slump. Then I started to realize that the chatting with friends just helped me get my mind off other things so I could get creative.
With the holidays and sick kids you probably just have a "tired mind" with too much to think about. Could that be it?
Hope it gets better!
And BTW- You ARE that scrapper that I hate! I'm YEARS behind!!!LOL!!!

Yeah, the funny thing is, I am hosting a crop next Friday night AND teaching a class next Saturday morning and I am just like, "Blah" about my own album right now. I'm all hyped about Creative Memories though and my plans are going down the tubes----they (CM) do this thing called "Jumpstart January" and you try and book lots of classes the first two weeks of Jan...well I have 1 booked, and 2 "I want to, let me get back to you with a date." Well, Portland is in a deep freeze and no one can really go anywhere, so all these little goals I set for myself are gone (for now). I'm hoping people will reschedule, but then I lose out on the incentives CM offers during this period. Sigh. Oh well, I don't take CM THAT seriously, but I'm a little bummed out.

I went through my pictures from my son's bday (right after Turkey day), Christmas, all the hoopla leading up to Christmas, and our recent trip to CA and felt a s-l-i-g-h-t twinge of motivation, so maybe I will get something done tonight. I also think my problem is that my boy's room is a DISASTER and I feel like I shouldn't work on my scrapbook leaving that room like that, but I hate picking up their room as DS2 just dumps everything back out 2 hours later. I mean it is BAD- you have to wade through the toys...that's the thing about Christmas in our house...it takes WEEKS to find everything a new home!

Phew- I think I just needed to vent. On top of that, DH has been home from work for 3 days ( he works for a school dist and no one could report to work) and he doesn't want to get anything done either. He said, and I quote, "Hey, I'm making $500 just sitting here for a couple of days...I don't want to clean that closet out.." He said it in a kidding tone, but I was so MAD!

when I get in a slump I go through my finished work. Never the photos I need to do it always seems like so much . so make a cup of tea and look at what you have done and just enjoy the moment. Thats what I do.
