I am making my first ressie, what are some things I should request?

I know you are supposed to specify certain things. I am doing my ressie on-line. Is this where I put those special requests?

I am booking at SSR, is there anything that you would all recommend I request? I know you are not guaranteed, but I would like to put it down now.

Hi, 4mcbjCtr.
I think most would start with smoking preference, then view, then floor/location.
I probably wouldn't pin them down any more than that.

You have the right attitude about them not being guaranteed, but it sure doesn't hurt to ask! :drinking:

Okay, I guess this is going to sound naive . . . you can do your ressies online now? I heard this was eventually happening, but I was just on the DVC member website the other day and did not notice this option. I couldn't even see where one could check a point balance. Can you change ressies, too? I guess I'll have to go back to the site and check it out.

Although I never have, couldn't you always book via Member Services' email? :drinking:

There's a place on the DVC Members site where you can "request a reservation" and Member Services gets back to you. It's not a dynamic link where your reservation is confirmed instantly (or at least I don't think it is) like calling Member Services.

You're correct. I just checked it out. It's a reservation request. It says it's based on a first come, first serve basis. Do you think filling the request out on a Saturday night beats a first caller on Monday morning? Somehow I doubt it . . . what do you think?
