I am looking for some help w/ DVC points-buying

Hello all.
I hope I am in the right place here.
I am looking for some info on how to buy points from someone for BWV - I am planning a surprise trip for my DH, and DD for Jan of 2006. I know its too early to buy yet, but I am interested in learning more about the renting/buying points process so that I am informed when the time comes that I can book the trip.
Can anyone tell me where/how I go about buying points? I would really appreciate any help.

if you only want one trip - then you are renting.

It is not too early for a DVC member to make your Jan, 2006 reservation.

get go look on the DVC rental/trade site.

DVC rents for around $10 ($8 to $12) per point.

You can buy a membership for around $95 per point plus maintence fees.

How do I know how many points I need to rent?
As you can see I have no idea what I am talking about- just thought this may be something worth looking in to.

You need to look at the points chart (link at top of page) to see how many points you need. Then head to the Rent/Trade board and look for a post meeting your needs or post your request. It would be a good idea to check out the FAQ on that board too for more info. Good luck!
