Welcome home Claire
I saw you had Duffy bear on your Facebook pic:goodvibes
Manta is a great ride, I rode it about 5 times a row, bruised my upper arms:rotfl:
Hope the jet leg doesn't get you.:)

Wayne, yes had to put the pic of me with Duffy up :)

As for jetlag I rarely suffer from it and am doing fine at the moment, even after getting up at 7am yesterday for the non direct flight back to Heathrow via Detroit, bus to Gatwick, train to Eastbourne, then finally taxi home!! Plus only got about an hour and a half sleep on the plane :(

I am same rarely affects me, this time we were in Biz class so got a good 4 hours deep sleep on way home and thought I would be fine but the day after it started for about a week, worst I have had it.

Welcome home Claire. So glad you had a good time. I hope we get more juicy bits from your trip when you have time. ;)

I also suffered incredibly this year. Flying economy on the return had something to do with it I think. We usually sleep at leat 5 or 6 hours on the flight home. This year we were awake the whole time and also landed in the morning so fell asleep late afternoon and then didn't sleep that night. Today is the first day (we got home last Sunday) that I actually feel like I am living in my own body with my head attached to it.

welcome back :goodvibes

Glad you had a great holiday - I see that Manta is one of your highlights - DD is so looking forward to going on this when we go.

Wwere there any lows? What were the crowds like? I've been reading posts where people are complaining about the high crowds especially for a supposed 'quiet' time of year to visit

It was busier at times but that may have been due to the exceptionally dry and hot weather :)

Even so still managed to do most things I wanted to do :teeth:

October is considered regular season so I don't think it was ever meant to be low crowds but the F&W together with limited hours of operation at the MK due to MNSSHP, as well as all the refurbishments just added to the mix. Also, for the second year running, US guests were able to take advantage of an extended free dining offer into the later part of the year which used to always end in September.

There were times when crowd levels were incredible but on the whole it didn't come close to those in high season. It was also a pleasant change to be able to collect a FP in the early afternoon for attractions which are usually out before lunch time.

I would love to hear your view on it overall. Have you ever been at this time of the year?

I have been twice before in October, 2004 and 2007. This year the weather was so much better and the crowds appeared to be about the same to me most of the time, obviously the 'headline' attractions were busy. Although I did think Seaworld shows were busier than I have seen before even Blue Horizons was full but maybe that is because there were less shows that day??!!

F & W was as busy as I recall in 2007 but still Epcot was not as bad as I have seen it, NYE is the worst, but on evey visit here the atmosphere is great :) I even got to try and frozen Magarita this time in Mexico

So in all I plan to be back in October 2012 and may even go solo if there is no one special to share my 'special place' with :woohoo:

Claire ;)
