OK.....I am getting very nervous and worried after all the reading in the forums and calling Disney and checking there sight...We are going from December 3rd thru the 12th this year same time as last year and had no problems with crowds....Can I expect a huge crowd this year...I know Pop Warner will be there but they were also last year...Anyone have any idea what to expect....I know I was checking other resorts on disney on there sight but nothing available....Whats up

Take a deep breath and relax! Pop Warner doesn't really impact the parks. It seems that this is becoming a more popular time to go to see the Mouse. But even if there is a "crowd" it won't be like spring/summer!!

Have a great trip!

We'll be there Nov. 28th - Dec. 4

No sense in worrying about something you can't change. As long as you are prepared, you'll know what to expect. Since you are aware that there is a stronge possibility of large crowds (with weekends being the worse), you won't go into shock. Plan your strategy, use fastpasses, and MAKE those PS for places you want to eat. I have read so many threads about folks going the same time and plan to just "wing" it and hope to walk in to those popular places to eat, because some book or site keeps telling them this is SLOW time. That may be true, but not this year it seems. Not me, I have my PS even though we're only there 4 days (Dec. 10-13). BTW: I'm still one of those ones still trying to change my ressies at the A/S sports to something else, but nothing is available. Looks like me and hubby and lots of cheerleaders and football players....yeah..ugh...

BTW: pop warner won't affect the parks??? I read a thread from a pop warner mom who said the kids ALL have park hoppers....sounds like impacting to me.

The pop warner kids all do have park hoppers, but don't forget that the majority of these kids are down for 3-4 days, and have practice one day, the competition/football game another day, get in late on the first day, leave the last day, etc. etc. I think the resorts (All Stars) are impacted more than the parks.

In addition to the cheerleaders I read that there is a football competition too?? All 3 A/S and POR are housing these participants and families. Mousefest is also going on during that week too (lots of folks/fans and activities at each of the parks and other Disney locations). I'm ready....I have gone during July for 4 summers in a row (with last summer being my last--no more of that), so there's nothing they can throw at me that I've not been through before. Anything is a walk in the park after summer in July in WDW.

DON'T WORRY! The fact of the matter is that you really can't tell if it will be busy or not by Disney hotels. The impact on daily attendance will be felt from the off-site visitors (and I have read threads saying off-site hotels are throwing around every deal under the sun to get more people to book). Plus, Pop Warner has been there before and every thread I have read has stated that Warner's effect is minimal. Remember that you are going to parks that see tens of thousands of people a day.

Time for a deep breath. I'm going to be there from the 3-12 too and we will have a wonderful (and offseason crowd) time!

I had the same worries last week. I called my Travel agent about a month before we left to see if we could a good deal on upgrading to a deluxe thinking the world would be empty. She told me everything was booked. There were several conventions that week.

Although the parks were crowded, they were not "packed." Waits were never more than 20-25 minutes at peak times and early and late in the day many were walk ons.

So, yes, I think it will be a bit more crowded than last year but it won't be an issue. These parks are built to handle 5 times the crowds we saw last week!! Use some strategies and fastpasses thoughout your stay and you won't even notice the crowds!!

Have fun!!
