I am getting so stressed about the travel portion of this trip!

My family wants to go to the Supercross races in Jacksonville on March 19, and then drive to Disney the next day. So.....I'm punching in all kinds of scenarios for our flight to try and get the best, and most convenient, deal. I'm thinking it may be easier just to fly straight to Jacksonville and then fly home out of Orlando. To make matters worse, our nearest airport that flies Southwest is 5 hours away. ugh.
I know I'm being a baby, but it just sounds so exhausting to me. I'm going to be 7 months pregnant when we go and all the rushing here and there sounds less than fun. I LOVE Disney, but just wish we could forget about the silly races! And...airfare is over $2000! Geesh!

What airport can you flight out of? We've done exactly as you said fly into one airport fly home out of another. We are actually doing this again on our upcoming trip next week. Using kayak.com is a good site for researching airfare. Also there probably won't be many air deals since March is prime Spring break season. I would try to be as flexible with your dates as possible.

Well, our options are Wichita (2 hours from us and they don't fly Southwest), Kansas City or Oklahoma City, both of which are 5 hours away. The reason I'm leaning toward SW is because I can get 15% off with my credit card, and if I have to change travel dates, they're flexible.

I wish I could be flexible about the dates, but my daughter has cheer tryouts the whole week before spring break and she can't miss that. I'll check kayak. Thank you!

I'm stressing too about our travel. We're going to WDW next month and have to fly out of OKC. I agree the flight prices in this part of the country are crazy..$1,400 for 3 of us to fly SW. I'm strongly considering driving the 20 hrs.

I'm honestly thinking about just chucking the whole idea of Florida altogether. We did find flights a little cheaper coming home a couple days early, but that leaves us with 3 1/2 days at Disney. To me, that isn't worth $2000 in airfare!

Personally, I think driving five hours to an airport to fly SWA is crazy! You might as well just drive to Florida.

Then don't do it. Stay home and take care of yourself.

Is there any possibility of just forgetting the whole trip? Maybe the thought of being 7 months pregnant and rushing around would be overriding?

Yes, the fact that I'm going to be 7 months along is exhausting, but I feel bad about dissappointing my family. I am going to look for some other kind of vacation, however, since the kids will have Spring Break, and I do want to do something as a family before our next little one arrives. Just want it to be something with not so much rushing around.

As for the 5 hour drive to KC...unfortunately, we're used to driving far to get just about anywhere. Even the nearest big mall is 2 hours away. Gotta love Kansas! ;)

Just trying to figure out where you are! Liberal? Or more north in Kansas? Going to a wedding in Hutch in May!

Which day were you ideally coming back from MCO to ICT?
How many in your party are flying?

I searched every source I cannot find anything better.

I would have a hard time paying that much. I might stay home too :(
